Going off topic. Im saying gdkp is fine except when its showing up as the only or usualy raid to choose from. Not everyone wants to raid lead or knows how. Kinda keep it from being completely known. The people that know about and want to gdkp could gather in discord.
Would u want to have to bring money or go make some money to go bid on a swing at the park. New players or poor people, people without time…

But this whole banning gdkp instead of working to ban gold sellers and buyers. Its trying to fix the people quitting because its a mindless grind. People can join get stuff done and just get carried… or can have fun and make relationships.

If u have gdkps. You might as well be able to buy raid gear off vendors anyways.

tldr version: if you wanted a pay to win loot system you should have kept it quiet and on the down low. instead you all industrialized it and spammed in non stop in every channel in game, this is the result.
Would call it more pay to play. Well farm time for gold to play the game. Created your own artifact resource legendary farm system. Was it artifact power?
System can help some people playing a lot longer get warglaives or an item like that. But i prefer not to farm artifact power for regular raids
Just want to point out that gold prices are still holding the same trendline as before the GDKP ban. The shock lasted 2 days, otherwise not noticeable on a graph. As we head into phase 2 prices will drop as a result of the easier farming methods. But the GDKP ban so far as had 0 impact.
I don’t think u can say this confidently. there’s probably a ton of speculative buying over the new “system” to which aggrend alluded. probably fearful purchasing as much as pullback from gdkp
100% correct. All these bad players that complain about GDKP are about to realize it keeps your economy in balance. All mats and consumes for raids are about to be unaffordable without buying gold because its gonna be the only means of gold farmers to profit now. They control the means. All mats in the AH are farmed by bot gold farmer accounts. Youre about to be paying 50g per Shadow prot potion to raid now. Thanks guys, now we have to buy to gold play when P2 hits.
Well the anti-GDKP crowd shouted from the rooftops about how the market shock of the ban dropped gold prices 50%. But that lasted 2 days, you know why? Because there will ALWAYS be a market for bought gold. So long as people don’t want to go farm it themselves. And the market for those people is about to explode because they can no longer run GDKP for income.
You might be willing to farm in WoW, many don’t. And for those that don’t they either buy bot-farmed cheap materials or they buy gold from bots to afford consumes, mounts, boes, etc. OR they run GDKP, which is no longer an option because of this very dim-witted policy.
if youre not willing to farm or spend time providing some other legitimate service like selling summons or dm buffs in wow, then you should not get those things. thats how the game is supposed to work. blizz is not obligated to give you a method to skip the grind.
Good luck getting your mats in bulk when there are 1000s of bot accounts actively herbing and mining the majority of nodes. And your low pop servers already have 50g shadow pots. Saying it wont happen lol. It already is on low pop servers. And banning gdkp when the majority of groups advertised are GDKP is gonna destroy your server pops and inflate your prices. Just wait, we have watched this over and over again for the last 20 years in this game. The next cycle of forum garbageposting will be people whining that blizz needs to merge more servers because pops are too low and its making their game unplayable.
dude i dont think you understand how long ive been around vanilla servers. i have seen the biggest, bottiest mega servers you would ever believe, and i have seen tiny sub 2k pop servers. it all works without cheating if you just put in some effort, something you are clearly allergic to.

Its not about GDKP. Its about keeping your game alive. 7/10 groups advertised on crusdaer strike are GDKP. So its not that your banning GDKP. Its that blizz just killed 70% of PUGs in SoD. Theyve killed several features in the past that resulted in mass exodus and ruined certain servers forcing them to merge servers due to low player counts. This is another one of those things. Sure its the 1st time its been done with GDKP. And like i said it will cycle into people crying about low pops and obscene prices on everyday goods not just BiS gear.
You know theres a big picture but all you kids hyperfocus a singular one that causes the least issues. Its actually comedic how pathetic you kids are. People wont carry you for free so you cry until blizz tries to force us to carry your white parses. But its not gonna happen. I cancelled my sub along with half my friends list. And most likely 100s more that arent incentivized to play after we have completed the raid a few times and are geared. Blizz is about to be left with nothing but whiners and bots. This is coming from the #2 DH tank in the world in M+ at the start of dragonflight. Since we cant make you pay for the carry now we will just kick and replace and you kids will be crying about mean raid leaders that dont want to sacrifice time and repair bills on your garbage asses
