Source: define "woke" "anti-woke"

Nonsense. You won’t because you’re afraid. It’s not just there, it’s the middle east, Africa, south east Asia, everywhere tbh. But you do nothing about it.

Progressives always portray themselves to be globalists. Not very global when it comes to beliefs.

Wokeness will cancel the world if it continues.

The unfortunate thing is that we have a tendency to repeat words or phrases to such excess to the point where they just become synonymous with “things I don’t like.”

See also; “Politics.”

I’m in my 40s and know what Babbel is. Don’t be an old man in your 30s.

Okay . . . what are we supposed to do to fix situations in countries 10s of thousands of miles away?

Progressives are fakes because they can’t fix problems in countries they don’t live in?

Oh yeah there’s another meaningless buzz word. It’s “cancel” when you don’t agree with it, and “boycott” when you do lol

People can do alot of things if they put their minds to it. But that takes courage, which progressives have none.

It’s why the Chinese call them baizuos. They whine but they never walk the walk.

Yay! A saying that still works!

That’s a non-answer. Name one thing, specifically, that I can personally do to stop the Taliban.

So how do we fix women’s rights in Afghanistan?

Re-invade?

Divide and conquer. CIA has been doing this PsyOp crap for decades.
They keep us fighting so we arent watching THEM.
And most of us are dumb enough to fall for it.

Who cares. It’s all just noise.

Vote for people that will enact policies to marginalize the Taliban, ban them off American platforms.

Idk just Reeeee at the right people.

People who virtue signaling all day about syria. But guess who actually went there and made a change. Volunteers like a navy seal who left the military to fight ISIS directly to save lives.

So exactly what progressives already do. You just disagree about which people are the right people.

Yeah who? Abortion rights? Lol while there are millions of girls denied education, arranged married, house slaves, raped.

Yeah okay cudos to you I guess?

“Woke” was really popular in the conspiracy community about 5 years ago, you know the one that got scrubbed from youtube in the last few years. The guys saying “stay woke” were usually slightly right wing if they were anything, I used to watch some of the conspiracy stuff just for the entertainment, until one day when it just didn’t do anything for me anymore. I think it was the way they’d run with one conspiracy while rejecting others outright, neither being any less likely though so it felt arbitrary and ultimately stupid. That’s where I remember “woke” coming out of. It’s really just another form of “sheeple” or “red pill” ie the idea that you know something or are aware of something others are not. Which is pretty lame.

Regardless it would seem the word and it’s pejorative use has drifted considerably.

Oh yea, there’s another fake outrage argument used when people point out when things actually are being canceled in the world. Wokeness exists to cancel things that most people don’t find offensive.

You can solve more than one problem at a time :man_shrugging:t4:

And our elected representatives are a lot more capable of fixing problems in the country they run than one that is run by religious fundamentalists half a planet away.

True

We treat politics like a sports team with rabid loyalty and the only winners are those at the top.

America for example can put a probe on a comet hurling through space but this is the best it can do for leadership? Why Americans put up with this crap for so long is beyond me.

(Every democratic country has become this bad, I know from Canada but everyone knows the American example)

So, part of the truth I’m deciphering here. I had no idea it was going to get super political.
