No. This is the exact problem.
Braindead content should not award hero track.

If you play for gear, it’s going to feel worthless eventually. Better off playing for content.
You are not reading anything I say, or others say. The communication issue is on your end, not ours.
With a fully deterministic rewards system, you’d get more tokens for doing harder content within the delve/dungeon/raid system, balanced so you’d be incentivized for the harder stuff. And then you’d trade the tokens for gear, with each gear level increased after you purchase the lower one. Nothing is trivialized. Everything we currently get gear for, we’d continue to get gear for. But now it’d be much more rewarding to do higher M+ or heroic/mythic raiding than delves… but at the same time, everyone gets onto the same progression track. You lose NOTHING from what you have now, and gain EVERYTHING that the system prevents you from doing.
I would love to, if those complaints were not impacting how the Delves will exist from now on.
That’s the issue!
If everyone stayed in their lane and did content they wanted to do, without nitpicking on other content because they are “forced” to do it, this whole thread wouldn’t even exist.
Instead, now Delves will have possibly their contents nerfed, to appease people who don’t even do it.
I mean we don’t even know what will be the nerf, but I doubt even with a massive nerf , which I don’t think it needs to go that far, you wouldn’t have people do delves. It’s not like there are tons of way to get gear in solo content. The point as always been to offer an option for solo players not for it to be better than other contents in term of rewards, they were very clear on Delves not being targeted for people that push raiding or M+.
Ngl, never thought about that. Huh.
Stop generalizing entire groups of people.
To be honest with you, you seem to be the only exception to this generalization in the entire thread. So I can understand how one would build this stereotype if this is their experience with that crowd.

I did read this, and that’s why I said trivial content for power rewards.
In the past, we had valor, and gear that was upgradable to heroic raid gear ilvl.
So what happened was: people spammed m+2, and upgraded gear instead of doing appropriate keys to get said gear.
And you’re advocating a return to that essentially. Giving people the ability to spam easy content, for greater power.
You lose NOTHING from what you have now, and gain EVERYTHING that the system prevents you from doing.
I’m pretty sure they’d lose something.
They’d lose the ability to obtain gear that solo players can’t earn. They’d lose some group content players that only do group content with them because they must do the group content to obtain the gear they want.
They’d lose the forced social interactions and feelings of superiority over players with lower ilvl gear.
Oh some people would also lose income from carry services.
When have they ever reduced loot rewards like this? They’ve increased but I dont recall them ever reducing it.

It’s nothing new lol

I’m surprised Blizzard doesn’t already do this, time played metrics for casuals would be through the roof.
Give people an incentive to run +2s. (Gear upgrades) after they’ve knocked out easy delves
Are you talking about someone who was running delves and getting hero track vault gear for the last 2 months needing a M+2 to give them an upgrade?
Ignoring the vault, delves drop champion gear, as do low M+ keys.
I’m surprised Blizzard doesn’t already do this, time played metrics for casuals would be through the roof.
Because that goes against the core design of the game. Trivial content has always awarded the mediocre gear.
So what happened was: people spammed m+2, and upgraded gear instead of doing appropriate keys to get said gear.
And in a deterministic system, you’d get far fewer tokens for doing that than you would doing higher level keys. Doing one M+ at higher level would taken an hour (?) whereas doing it your way would take runs every day for a week. It would be balanced appropriately.
But more importantly… why would you care what other people are doing? You don’t know me, so you have no business knowing about my gear or caring what I do with my time. What other people play in the game is not your concern.
I don’t M+ or Raid, I should still have a path to continue my gear progression. Solo content should not just end progression. When it just ends like it does today, that is when I find myself bored and turning my subscription off. Right now, I am literally fighting this battle. Delves do not reward me any longer. I do not want to raid or M+, so I am in a state of non-progression and it is now a chore to find the will to log in. If delves kept rewarding upgrades as they increased, then I would have a sense of accomplishment and reward and purpose for playing.

Mythic + loot always getting shifted all over the place lol
Its interesting that in bfa it was the raiders crying and complaining about M+ because it gave players an avenue to get gear while not doing their preferred content. Now M+ people are crying about delves for the same reason.

Sounds like heaven to me. ![]()
They explicitly moved away from that.
Are you talking about someone who was running delves and getting hero track vault gear for the last 2 months needing a M+2 to give them an upgrade?
People do delves, find no power rewards outside of m+7, so they try to jump to +7, can’t, and quit.
But more importantly… why would you care what other people are doing? You don’t know me, so you have no business knowing about my gear or caring what I do with my time. What other people play in the game is not your concern.
I’m just saying Blizzard moved away from this system, and what you’re advocating for is a return to that.
A system they explicitly moved away from.
I do not want to raid or M+, so I am in a state of non-progression
When you choose to only do trivial content your gear wall hits you earlier.
That’s your decision.
