Souldrinker (BUG) should be equippable for monks in all versions

I said “bug” because Souldrinker Normal-Heroic version can be equip it as a monk and its really strong item for tanks, for AOE pulls 10/10, the bug here is that LFR version CANT BE equipped so if blizzard can fix this like they just did with No’Kaled, would be great for those cant raid Normal/heroic Dragon soul because of the dead servers

Souldrinker is a strength weapon. Monks use agility. While Monks technically would be able to equip it since they can use one handed swords, they never should so it’s significantly less of a priority than No’Kaled was

Following your argument then it should be fix it to heroic-normal version being not equippable then

The normal mode and heroic mode versions of this weapon can be equipped, but not the LFR version.

That’s the bug.

Equally as low priority because they didn’t do the same to any other weapon. The LFR versions having class locks was a byproduct of keeping classes who can’t use them from being able to roll on them. In normal and heroic raids, where groups are manually formed and more than likely using another loot distribution method besides Need vs Greed, such limitations are unnecessary and so were never implemented

Monks have an awkward spot in this because previously they weren’t available for prepatch and so Blizzard didn’t have a need to add them to the class locks, meaning the current team had to do so manually - with No’Kaled and Souldrinker being overlooked for one reason or another. No’Kaled was fixed later because it’s actually a valuable weapon for Monks; Souldrinker is not

It’s not a bug, it’s an oversight

 ACKSHUALLY

Thank you for conceding the argument

“Souldrinker is not” you gotta be joking right? or just a casual player saying words thinking that raiding/dungeons are all the content

I explained it in my first post

And thanks to that explanation that blizzard may do something  hope they read this

I’d love to see them do something so we can all see where their ridiculous priorities lie between letting Monks use a weapon they shouldn’t be using that won’t be relevant in less than a week, instead of fixing actual gamebreaking bugs like Hunters not being able to apply or change their pets’ specs or growl automatically and repeatedly turning on in dungeons

Isnt a ridiculous priority since monks never should be able to create in the prepatch in the first part, so if this was like back on the days, we probably would never be arguin this thing on forums.

What i ment to say is that they wanted to release the monk before the true mop content then they still got work to do.

I know you’re not about to unironically argue a class not having access to a weapon that isn’t meant for them is equally as important as another class straight up not being able to properly use an entire mechanic of their class

It isn’t a bug. It isn’t an oversight. It’s intentional.

Actually yeah, this is correct. Because like Monks not being able to use Souldrinker despite being able to equip one handed swords, Death Knights can’t use Ki’ril despite being able to use polearms, Warriors can’t use Ti’tahk despite being able to use staves, and so on…so clearly the devs intend classes to not be able to use weapons not designed for them even if they can technically equip the weapon type
