Sorry, I Don't Understand the Anima Issue

…that’s assuming you didn’t use any anima for, I don’t know, upgrading your covenant armor because yanno, 197 armor lets you kill crap way faster than 150s?

At least the Crafter’s Marks are account wide. At least the ones from Ve’nari - the ones that let you do the higher level ones.

9.0 was total disaster in terms of anima gains. 9.0.5 gave a small buff and now i know why.

TBC release date is june 1, patch 9.1 will be released in like september, and Blizz wants to make anima grind as filler content

Are they? Was that hotfixed? Because I was pretty sure they weren’t.

EDIT: Just checked Wowhead, and they are most certainly NOT BoA.

WTF are you serious? September!?

Gotta love those 9 month tier cycles…

I sit corrected. I guess my crafters all just have enough rep to be able to use it, then.

Dear God, I can’t fathom how you grinded out Ve’nari or that rep in Revendreth on multiple characters, let alone one.

Unless you mean CM1, which sets the levels to 55/117. That’s something ALL crafters get during the path of leveling their craft.

well lets think this through.

Blizz devs will be super busy with TBC release on june 1st, and will likely take whole june away.

in july and august they might pull the release on those months but how likely would that be with TBC needing managing

It makes up literally a big portion of what SL offers.

‘‘This expansion is almost all optional’’

people dislike how it was implemented and acquisition rate

"But it’s all optional, why the hate’’

Switch that with player power, and watch the people who dislike player power do the same silly statement people like you make.

Anima and the covenant is a core thing. If you justify it ‘‘Oh, it sucks but it’s optional’’… doesn’t work and just that invalidates most of the expansion for people who want to engage with the core expansion feature which is not what developers should do.

Hence their ‘middle ground jump through the hoop’ achievement that buffs anima. Shoddy fix.

anima isn’t that big of an issue with alts… I have pretty much every 5k universal mount and I did it almost entirely from the mission tables across several alts.

The mission table is so underestimated.

As a loyal pet, I’m very grateful for my 3k to 6k anima per day.

Because you won’t play for as long if you can just be done with everything you want to be done with faster.

I dont’ see the need for account-wide. Just switch covs during downtime and farm mogs during that time, at least that’s what I plan on doing. Or just wait until end of xpac of course.

It should be account wide. My alts are suffering

Once you unlock items on Venari with one character, they are available to purchase on all characters. I bought the CMII off Venari on my alt as soon as I had Stygia for it. I hadn’t gotten any rep with her so far.

I don’t know if this number is accurate but I’ve seen people say you need 1m anima for “everything” :man_shrugging: 1,000,000 / 5000 = 200 days assuming you play everyday and get a minimum of 5k anima a day, take a day off, get less than 5k and the number goes up.
There’s also 3 more covenants, I don’t know how much of the “stuff” overlaps though so I can’t math that but if each covenant has 100% unique items that would be 200*4 days :grimacing:

Oh, here we go

says 1,203,245 anima for all 4 covenants so that’d be 240 days of farming. If you aren’t interested in vanity items it is understandable why you don’t see a problem.

There are people who don’t want to do anything with the Covenant Hall and just want to collect stuff. They can’t do that efficiently with a low anima drop. People asked for an increase in anima. They got “Valored” and Blizzard locked more anima behind Covenant Hall upgrades. Stuff they don’t want to waste anima on.

As someone else said: if it existed since day one, it wouldn’t be so bad. People would know what they had to work towards first. Now, they have to backtrack, watch all of their anima they worked on for months get tossed down the drain for unlocks they don’t care about, just to be able to get more anima efficiently. And as you said: not account wide.

That’s basically it in a nutshell.

Hate to break it to you, but by the time you make up the anima you spent upgrading your sanctum to rank 3, it’ll be the next expansion.

Just because it FEELS good, doesn’t mean it is good. You spent a LOT of anima upgrading your sanctum.

I find this to be unacceptable, in my opinion all items from an expansion should be obtainable within that expansion assuming of course the individual is putting forth the effort.

Having to do that for 16 times to get all the cosmetics? Like it isn’t accountwide so you still have to do it on alts. Most of the anima you farm is for upgrades you already bought.
