Sorry, I Don't Understand the Anima Issue

I got 4 alts 40 renoun and 15 no covnet and 48 more in bfa

Or just playing another game entirely

R3? that it self is a lot of grind

Because it still takes anima to unlock your covenant’s features that can reward you with non-cosmetic items or mounts.

It’s a problem because the anima bonuses are not account wide so going from your main to an alt and suddenly you are back to the anima drought.

QFT. I could build 20 garrisons for this anima grind by now.

It also tells players there is a correct “build order” after the fact. I had zero interest in upgrading the mission table passed rank 1 and instead began building into the covenant mini-game because I found that more interesting. Now, players who did the same thing probably feel bad and think they are missing out on the anima gains they could be getting and would be getting if this was there day 1.

It took me until about 2 weeks ago. To be fair though I didn’t go for max anima each day, I just played normally and always did the quick world quests when they were up (collect anima cones, flayedwing ridden/tamed, etc) and the Theater of Pain daily and wq when up.
I did, however, grind pretty hard directly after launch cause I wanted to get all reps to exalted quickly. Other than that I sometimes do and sometimes don’t do the weekly dungeon quests and occasionally do a key.

Given how long 9.0(.5) has been going, it was pretty slow. Also, when you add alts it turns into a nightmare and I want Magni back so I can heal Azeroth’s woonz instead.

The Avowed rep grind is bonkers stupid, at least they didn’t lock anything important behind Exalted, maybe they are saving that for 9.1

I’m halfway to exalted so I guess I only have what… 200ish souls left to put through the ritual? Kill 100 high inquisitors or 50 grand inquisitors? (which I can’t solo them anyway)

I have so many sinstone fragments it’s ridiculous but I’m just kinda sick of it - and I liked it a lot when I started.

And how much anima did it take you to get those rank 3’s? Close to 50,000 anima in total I think. The idea of grinding that amount of anima in order to get more anima seems nuts to me. And the idea of doing it on 3 other characters to get the other sanctums up to rank 3 is… no, it won’t be happening for me. I can see no world in which it would happen. Unless Blizzard starts tossing out anima in enormous quantities.

I’ve said it before but man am I glad I don’t care about that stuff - I just focus on raiding with a sprinkle of M+

Def feel for those who do

After spending a million anima you are finally starting to get the amount that you should get base… glad to see there’s still no shortage of white knights for Blizz

There isn’t a problem. Today’s gamers just don’t like to grind and put in some work for what they want. Hopefully these people won’t be playing BC Classic because grinds in there (like Classic) are 4398742 times worse.

It really does need to be account wide and I’d be perfectly happy with it.

It’s also worth mentioning that datamining shows additional anima rate upgrades as Renown rewards in 9.1, so hopefully we’ll be ramping it up even more.

If it’s not account-wide, I’d still call this a failure.

I’m not farming anymore anima until Blizzard tells me whether or not they’re going to unlock Covenant cosmetics next expansion. There was rumor that this “choice” carries over. If that’s the case, then I’m done with this game entirely. One step forward for transmogrification when they removed a lot of the level requirements, two steps back if they keep Covenants locked to your character.

The thing where once you upgrade everything in sanctum you get the extra anima for doing it that you really don’t need anymore.
