Sorry but I do not like TWW dungeons

This might be the least I’ve enjoyed dungeons in an expansion!

The dungeons are all forgettable and bland (cannot remember a boss’ name, nor do I care to, frankly), have annoying mobs and mechanics (those void zones come to mind, or the feather slow fall - like just let me fall pls), and terrible aesthetics, annoying layout.

And what’s with the paired theming of dungeons - Rookery and the Darkness one, the 2 Hallowfall ones which I can only tell apart because one has the disorienting flying mechanic (seriously, hard to know where in town to land), and the 2 spider ones that are all filled with annoying RP?

The Hallowfall one is literally Scarlet Monastery at home. Come on guys, do better instead of copying Diablo 4’s homework and changing it a bit.

TBC and Cata are peak dungeon design - TBC for aesthetics (so many stories climaxed in dungeons!) and Cata for layout (since TBC were hallways which kinda sucked). Heck, even DF was pretty good.

Am I the only one that just isn’t feeling these TWW dungeons? What happened to the team that made TBC/Cata/WoD dungeons?

The DF dungeons were much better. I miss them.

This season’s dungeons are great. The only bad one is city of threads which they could always delete before season 3

Rose tinted glasses, these are far from better

I dont like how lost of the duegons and all the raids are just the overworld for 90% of it

I don’t think so, not the examples I gave any way.

Are these better than Azjol Nerub? Sure. Are they better than the aesthetics of Magister’s Keep, Vortex Pinnacle, Lost City of Tol’Vir, The Underbog, Steamvaults, Hellfire Keep, Alcatraz, etc etc? Better in mechanics than Stonecore, Grimrail Depot, Atal dazar etc?

Heck no. These dungeons are forgettable fodder.

I haven’t enjoyed dungeons since BfA. Its the main reason I don’t do M+.

BFA had great dungeons. DF did too, in all fairness. I personally didn’t care for SL, but I really enjoyed De Other Side.

But yeah, I feel like the dungeon team no longer has that magical je ne sais quois touch it did in other expansions.

I feel like I agree with you but can you explain what you mean?

personal preference. I disliked all but one DF dungeon and like all of the TWW runs Ive done.

What do you like about TWW?

Even when there are things I like about TWW dungeons, there are cons that outweigh the negatives. For exmaple, in the goblin dungeon, they layout is so annoying/confusing.

I like the bee dungeon, but it feels like Stormstout Brewery at home.

I don’t mind The Dawnbreaker but as i stated, it gets confusing with the flying.

They’re just unpleasant dungeons!

They’re anywhere from inoffensive to extremely enjoyable to me, personally. Cinderbrew Meadery, Dawnbreaker and Priory were all super fun, Floodgate is decent, and everything else is forgettable. City of Threads is the only one I’d consider bad, and honestly the Rookery and Stonevault are only low on my list because I find almost everything about Earthen to be criminally boring.

Pretty much everything so far…the mogs, the zones…the delves and dungeons…like the story for as much as Ive paid attention to it.
I loved DF content too, but the only dungeon I liked was a remake, lol…and it was much worse than the original.

This is what we call damning with faint praise.

The Priory one is literally Scarlet Monastery 2024 with half the charm and soul, not to mention a D4 ripoff.

With your other positives, sure they’re okay. Floodgate is interesting, The Dawnbreaker is fun except for the middle where PUGs are tempted to fly and dodge often resulting in chaos and confusion, and the Meadery is fun but feels like Stormstout 2.0 (which isn’t a bad thing).

I just feel like the innovation and memorability is at an all time low.

None of them were really that memorable to me. I won’t say they are bad; they are just…there.

I couldn’t imagine enjoying WoW still if the dungeons were as bland as TBC.

The mogs are great, I’ll give you that.

…No? This is what we call “enjoying some dungeons but not others”. It happens in every expansion. Please don’t twist what I say.

But to add on

Whenever a dungeon is slightly unique, people complain. I find that silly.

Some ideas sound better in the persons head than they do projected out into the universe lol…whoever came up with earthen certainly must have thought a monotone race would be cool, but while I rolled a few of them, they have literally no personality at all, and clearly by design given their racial background in game.
I like their food racial and all, but its hardly as useful as a DI mole machine.

I think they should have really energized them a lot more than they did if they wanted them to be interesting.

Why didn’t they go with Mogu? Why is Blizzard so obssesed with dwarves?
