Sorry but I do not like TWW dungeons

This is true, yeah. I can see how dungeons end up being designed a certain way.

To be fair. I am happy this is feedback they often ignore.

Every dungeon doesn’t need to be a tight hallway you can navigate with your eyes shut.

I do like how many offer diversity in design and layout.

I think the only dungeons I’ve really liked from this expansion have been Cinderbrew Meadery and Operation: Floodgate.

I’m kinda indifferent towards the others.
Except Dawnbreaker, that dungeon is one I do not like.

Undermine really sold how uninteresting they are to me, honestly. On one side you have this incredibly vibrant and richly detailed city just exploding with culture and personality, with so much love put into even the most obscure flavor text. Then you have Earthen, who are just…there. Not unrelated to my dungeon preferences, Cinderbrew is probably the one part of them I actually find really neat.

Yeah, I prefer to keep things interesting myself. Blizzard just has a hard time with making dungeons different and fun sometimes.

This is a strawman/words in my mouth. Nokhud Offensive is one of my favourite dungeons.

Not to mention, the narrative that TWW dungeons are unique in any way is totally bogus and laughable. They’re no more unique than any dungeons in SL, DF, Legion etc.

Sure. Not implying every dungeon is a hit

But I’d rather they try and occasionally fail then just keep with the TBC dungeon formula.

I get it. A lot of people don’t like having to press their defensives or participate in mechanics to actually do dungeons.

Most of the TWW require participation. Its rough out there

Agreed. I love seeing them take risks. Sometimes I feel like they don’t take enough, so I won’t really trash them for it when they do, unless the end result is catastrophic.

This is why I ultimately prefer WoW dungeons to FFXIV’s, which are extremely uniform in design: 3 pulls, invisible wall, something creates a path when the enemies die, rinse and repeat 3 times for 3 bosses and you’re done. Dungeons should feel unique and interesting - though I guess it’s a hard design goal with WoW’s rush culture for completing content. Maybe it’s different in Mythic?

lol…cant love them, cant hate them…
I play the ones I have…I dont dislike them…the same relationship I have with a spoon lol…its just there to do the job.

14 dungeons are more boss oriented, WoW’s are more trash oriented and the design reflects that. The real threats in WoW dungeons aren’t often the bosses but the trash.

It’s definitely different on higher difficulties.

You notice the mechanics more. This can change how you interact with the dungeon. Through pull routes, CDs, etc.

Having to be mindful of my surroundings does make me actually take into consideration what my surroundings are

I’d love to praise the unique NPC transmog that blows their own Heritage out of the water, but mostly I’m just bitter I can’t use them on my other races. :weary:

This is definitely a fair point, yeah. Dawntrail blew me away with some of the boss designs, and I love some of the new mechanics - I guess they just wear me out a lot faster on replays.

Still, Drowsie from the first DT dungeon was peak art.

I guess with Delves giving decent gear it’d be a good time to try them out. I just tend to pug content, so I assume it’d be a mess.

Honestly, I’ve barely done any of the Dungeons beyond the weekly Rep boost, and that only as a Follower Dungeon.
Having said that, Cinderbrew Meadery is kinda fun.

Cinderbrew is the new stonevault this season

I haven’t enjoyed dungeons since WoD

Probably referring to how many dungeons are just repurposed outdoor zones. Floodgate, Dawnbreaker, City of Threads, Priory are mostly set in outdoor zones with maybe a short excursion into a building or sewer. There’s clearly less level design work going into these than a traditional lair-type dungeon- Blackrock Depths, Stonevault, Neltharus, Waycrest Manor, etc. for example. It used to be “neat, a 5-man in a place I’ve been!” but how often it’s been done leads to it feeling lazy and redundant.

Wow it’s pretty hard to stand out in the sea of bad takes here on the forums but we may have a winner here
