Every time I or any one I know starts the encounter they fly down and despawn. Tried going out and resetting the instance and nothing.
Any tips?

I have had this issue recently as well. Click on the Amber and the paragons fly down and despawn. I relogged and zoned out, neither fixed the issue.

Happen here too on Sunday September 18th 2016. We were running this as Mythic. Anyone know if this is fixed? Any helps to get past this encounter? Its a long way into the run just to find out it's still bugged.
My girlfriend and I were trying this today and it's still bugged. Had issues with Galakras as well.
Adding another name to the pile. Had no issues, got a guildmate to help with Galakras, now I'm stuck. Doesn't seem to matter where I stand, they reset right when they land.

I've encountered a different bug with this fight: upon clicking the amber, Hisek the Swarmkeeper will drop down, but not be attackable. He'll just stand there. And only one other Paragon will drop down. If you kill them one at a time, as they drop down, eventually only Hisek will be left, and he'll still be unattackable, and it'll be stuck forever.

It's because you don't have someone in ranged and/or heal spec they need to attack those specific specs.

Umm, I don't think that's right. I have been doing SoO on this toon in dps spec with a friend on his paladin in ret, and the only time we have a problem with the Paragons is when we kill one of them too fast. We are both melee and non healing. Also, people are able to solo them in pure dps classes.
ok, so when I got this bug, I was soloing the instance. I was able to use invisibility to disengage the encounter and it reset. next time I hit the crystal I just moved around a little instead of spamming spells in the center. encounter completed. hope this helps a little.
WOW this is still happening. Come on Blizz. Fix it
I was soloing SoO and got the same bug. Hisek was stuck on the ledge. All I did was use my hearthstone to get out of the raid, then re-entered and did the fight again, this time just taking out one Paragon at a time. Thankfully, it worked, so hopefully this'll be the solution for everyone else as well.
Yes, it's still a bug. Rather than log out ... or hearth and re-run all through it, just kill the bugs 1x1 until you reach Hasik the MANIPULATOR and let him summon those little bugs, then just run into one and you will insta-die. Much faster solution, then go try again.
In my experience, best way to not bug out the Swarmkeeper is to stay way at a distance when the Raid starts (out of the big circle) and just let them come attack you.
Most ridiculous time-consuming raid in the game, to be honest. And for no reason whatsoever.
