Wax Seals at TOA 2022
It’s that time again folks! I’ll be making Wax Seals at the Ashes of Al’ar booth this year for TOA 2022. Due to helping with a couple events, I won’t be there every night, but will post in the discord when at the booth.
I love to rp with you info on the seal, what you are looking for, etc. The basics I need:
- An icon - This can be line art you provide if you have something or just describe what you want. I’ll put something together.
- Colors - This is for the wax, like green and gold or purples. Or just an idea of colors you like.
- Shape - I have wax seals for round, oval, square, diamond, hex, and rectangle. Working on some other options too, but these are the usual shapes.
- Metal - I add a bit of metal to the symbol, like silver, gold, copper, rock, etc.
I make these in Photoshop then reveal through RP and in Discord providing a file you can save and use for letters, journals, your TRP descriptions, etc. I also post them in Twitter.
These are paid for via RP money. If you wanna send real money, DONATE to the TOA charity!

NEW Seal Shapes & PSDs!
With TOA 2022, I worked to simplify how to use the Photoshop files for Wax Seals and streamline all the options. Now it’s EASIER than ever!

New shapes:
- Round seals has a new Arched shape! Curved at top and squared off at the bottom. Can look amazing as a tombstone too.
- Oval seals has a Heart shape!
How it works:
- Find or make an icon of a PNG. Clip and line art works great. Something simplified or easy to show in black and white. Select and show one of the seal options/folder. Inside this is the MAGIC!
- The ICON & METAL folder has metal options to select by just show/hiding! That easy to add silver, gold, copper, patina, etc.
- Copy and paste the icon into the folder ADD ICON HERE. Bam you now have a metal touched icon. Simple!
- Pick a base color (from the rainbow) for ultra plain seals. Or show/hide a pattern and color from the numerous options!
- Export to PNG.
DONE! That’s it!
On a good note… FREE PHOTOPEA does work! If you download the files to your local computer, then visit https://www.photopea.com/ , you can open the files and make seals! The same instructions should work just fine! You just need some png transparent images or make some in GIMP or Photopea, or find and download from sites. You can then add them to the ICON folder and play!
And if you find a cool pattern/color you like for your wax seal, just copy and paste it into the pattern folders! Resize as needed…bam custom wax seal! The masks (little boxes black and white on the folder) keep everything in place on your seal.

Thanks folks! I snuck in more bits for the ROUND Seals to have back items of metal leaves and swirls, and magic circles as a test. More on the way, working on COIN updates, and more scrolls/illumination stuff!
