Something should be done about thieves in LFR

I’m sorry we all forgot that LFR is just for the people who think they need the gear because they don’t want to do keys. Look everyone is there killing the trash and the bosses. EVERYONE has the right to roll need on stuff just as much as you do. If you wanna complain about something then complain about the people who die 3 seconds into the boss fight and then win loot. That we can all get behind.

You’re the one in disbelief. It’s on you to prove it to yourself.

I don’t even gear alts up through LFR anymore because its not effective to do so unless a trinket/ring is overpowered.

Thats not how that works. The person making the claim has t…you know what? Never mind… I’m not going to bother, it’s not like you’d learn anything.

No, my position is that If I participate in an LFR run I’m entitled to roll on anything I want whether I need it or not. Given that nothing prevents me from doing that and I haven’t recieved any messages from the GMs that this is unacceptable I have to conclude that it’s fully within the bounds of acceptable behavior.

Jerkish perhaps, but not in violation of any rules.

Rolling need on gear you don’t need is against the social contract.

Moving back to what I originally said… The WW Monk rolled need and won both a non BIS weapon and wrist from the same boss and, after inspection of the Monk, it was discovered that Monk had superior gear. 2 items from the same boss and neither were an upgrade for the monk. That’s the problem here.

Nothing about not rolling need for gear…

Why are you checking their gear? You get mad everytime!

Nothing within what you have posted says anything about distribution of loot.

Edit: I keep getting beaten to the punch :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Omg this says “don’t be dead weight” not “don’t roll on gear”.

I’m still trying to figure out if they’re trolling or they honestly believe this.

The sad part is they probably do honestly believe this. I hope he’s trolling.

OMG! Thats your interpretation. Why did you instantly go to “dead weight”?

Well by all means highlight it somebody posted the social contract.

And here it is

Hail, traveler, and welcome to the World of Warcraft! Azeroth is a living world full of people like you - other players with different backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and histories who have all come together to play World of Warcraft. Every player deserves to have a world that they feel safe in, so please take a minute to read our Social Contract.

While in Azeroth, do your best to:

Connect with other players and make friends! Being courteous in group content can help you and your teammates have the best time possible. Sending a friendly hello message can help set your group up for success.
Play as a team with your fellow players - whether in dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, arenas, or out questing in the world. Do your best to support your team through your communication and behaviors so that you can all celebrate your success together.
Assist other players that you encounter in the world. Maybe they need some help defeating a tough monster, or maybe they could use a little healing!
Help answer questions others have in chat channels like General or Trade. We were all newbies once - one person offering some help can go a long way!
We recognize that the Internet is not always a safe haven. With that in mind, please note that the following behaviors are not accepted in Azeroth:

Hate speech, including negative comments that target another player’s identity, including aspects like race, gender, or ability
Harassment, threats, or abusive / derogatory language and behaviors
Spamming, advertising, or other disruptive behaviors
If you harm your fellow adventurers with any of the above behaviors, you are subject to punishment up to and including suspension of your account.
It’s a big world out there, with all sorts of people in it. So please try to be respectful of each other, and if you ever feel like somebody is acting against this code, please report those behaviors so that our team can look into it. Together, you can help us make the World of Warcraft a safe home away from home for everyone.

And, as with every thread that has been created about this (it’s spam by the way) I’ll say this. If you do anything that prevents people from rolling need, they won’t join, you’ll get longer queues, longer kills, more wipes, all to end up with the same of players rolling need.

And will you look at that, nowhere does it state:

So maybe, just maybe:

Because that’s literally the context of it. If it was any different then those who don’t need gear wouldn’t BE ABLE to roll need for it. You’re fabricating incorrect context to try and justify your horrible narrative.

The contract has more to do with presenting a positive, supportive attitude.

If that’s truly your belief, open a support ticket and see how that goes for you.

If Blizzard doesn’t do anything, you will know you’re incorrect in your analysis of the social contract and you can move on with your life in peace.

The code is more what you’d call “guidelines” than actual rules.
