Something overlooked in Shadow's Rising w/ Night Elves

Angry, rage and hatred doesn’t means you need to off yourself. You can go on a vengeance and destructive path, which is why undead characters tend to be hated imo.

How can she fully understand if she just have become it? She isn’t coward if she chooses to stand and fight back, that’s the most logic and reasonable thing to do, finding a new purpose. But she’s lost and feel abandoned by her people and that adds up to the mess she’s going through.

In fact “her will to live” is the “hope” Sylvanas pretended to kill and that’s what keeps the forsaken going on too. They have hope that something could change for them or at least they could find solace.

See, what i find interesting about this whole thing is that even if someone were to think they were a monster, does that really mean the only sensible course is suicide? They did not choose to come back into this world but, that doesnt mean they either kill themselves immediately or theyre a bad person. A monster may be a monster but that doesnt mean they shouldnt rightfully feel afraid to die.

I don’t think this is necessarily true. We know that the Forsaken are not brought back with their consent. It’s that they’re brought back with the freedom to choose what’s next, which we see is true due to the Calia quest line. Some night elves and dark rangers chose to go with her to try and quell the rage. Sira Moonwarden chose to go with Nathanos because she’s much angrier and thinks nothing can fix it.

No Forsaken is brought back with consent.

More evil than Arthas.

welp, this just adds even more fuel to the “she is in fact evil” pyre. tosses another log on said pyre

also if she gets a redemption arc even after all this I’m seriously gonna need to question the story teams ethics and thought process.

I completely agree with you, at this point Sylvanas is far more despicable that Garrosh.
The devs were honest when they said they didn’t give us Garrosh 2.0 they gave up The Lich King 2.0.

This happens in the book? I don’t remember seeing it ingame.

I thought Nathanos was left alone after his failure, he retreats to Marris Stead to wait for new orders.

In the book, yeah. Sira Moonwarden and Nathanos have a lot of escapades together, including one where Nathanos actually manages to get her to hush and learn her rank real quick. And an odd encounter where Sira displays a moderate form of concern for him.

He gets told to heck off on the last page of the book by Sylvanas.

Interesting…
i always thought they joined our ranks to seek revenge against the alliance failing them and there people.
That being said… what a trump card. I raise your allies to fight you with uncontrolable rage.
10/10 sylvanis for warchief again.

Pretty sure the whole point of the Forsaken is to be free of Arthas and have free will.
Not deal with Arthas again but with boobles.

Ya thats the thing tho… they arnt forsaken…
They are raised night elves. Raised cannon fauder at best.
Remeber that cheeky line sylvanis did in tirsfall glades?
garrosh said : " Do you have ANY idea what this means sylvanis? What difference is there between you and the lich king?! "
sylvanis replies : " I serve the horde… "

so i dont view her as arthas… this being one of the many reasons why.

Sylvanas doesn’t serve the Horde though and she is in fact Arthas 2.0.

PLEASE point out similarities.
because i cant see any between the two.

no but she did once… until her eyes were opened to how minuscule this faction really is.
arguably speaking come next xpac we will see more into her decision making.

That’s funny.

I had said a long time ago that Sylvanas was turning into the very thing she had fought against. She has been walking the similar path of Arthas. Many things Sylvanas did, can be compared to what the Lich King had done.

In whatever state you die, be it sorrow, anger or rage, when risen as undead, you will contain those negative emotions which override the positive ones.

So, in reality, all that Sylvanas did and said, trying to convince herself as well as others, that her motives are good. IT IS AND WAS ALL A LIE.

Also, when Sylvanas targeted Teldrassil, her purpose was clear. Declaring war on Elune by killing and raising Elune’s worshipers.

Sylvanas also has followed, somewhat, Azshara’s footsteps.

It’s an inconsistency

in-game when you talk to her in darkshore, she says “we all have our different reasons for accepting the gift”

Sylvanas is nothing like Arthas. Arthas chose his own path to damnation every step of the way. Sylvanas did not. She also did not die with revenge, but with with regret that she could not save her people. She was at peace as she died hoping to see her sister once more. Then Arthas violently ripped her soul from her body and made her a banshee.

the faction war is pointless this is true . . . doubt the solution to this issue is “LETS KILL EVERYONE AND NUKE THE AFTERLIFE!”

idk man. we nuke the afterlife to teriform it for our own personal afterlife.
Azeroth has like… 2 maybe 3 more days before it cracks open to become a big titan.
