Every time I see someone write passionate posts about wpvp it makes me want to play. Talking about getting gear drops or whatever doesn’t motivate me at all. it’s like THIS is what I want. I ran a guild that did wpvp in Wrath, we weren’t even on an RP server but had this. I just like playing the whole game not just one section of it and this is part of the game to me.
I think it’s cool to see that some see it with their point of view and opinion, I accept, respect and admire that, because it’s a mature attitude. but I’m sad to see how some get here in this thread where I’m serious and ask for help, because I love pvp and I’m having difficulties and I try to bring back PVP and WPVP servers with both factions and I know that other people also think like me and like me I said above I respect those who don’t think, now coming here to make jokes and belittle the idea, just because you don’t agree or live in a different little world is a total lack of respect, not to mention it’s immeasurable childish…
Some people on these forums are trolls and some are just more selfish and only understand caring about what they want to care about.
If these same people were having problems with one of their favorite parts of the game they’d be saying something too, in fact, they do.

the point is that something needs to be done urgently, people cannot close themselves in their little world and think that only they play wow classic or that only Americans play wow classic, there are thousands of players from other countries playing and if you look on the forums , you’ll see Alliance players trapped in Faerlina, horde players trapped in Benediction, alliance players trapped in Sulfuras, and much more…
and don’t give me this talk of “you can transfer your characters” there are people who have 3, 4, 5, 7 characters on the server, and another thing, giving an example here in Brazil, each character transfer is 70$, imagine if you had to pay 70 dollars per character to transfer, having 3, 4, 5, 7 or whatever amount of characters you have, and this whole situation is not our fault…
People don’t want balanced PVP servers. They want to be the dominant faction on a PVP server so they can dogpile the opposing faction until they transfer or quit all-together.

You’re right, it doesn’t make sense. And yet, we’ve observed it happen 100+ times now. What more proof do you need to see that people don’t want balanced PVP servers? Are we just denying reality at this point?
Bloomsday comes into these threads and does this all the time and most of the forum regulars know it, don’t let him bother you.

Players are what is different this time around, and the approach they’ve taken to basically…everything in classic.
The game is metad so far beyond what the original was, and part of that is faction stacking for best chance at finding groups.
Blizzard didn’t control server faction population in retail, it just took longer for players to realize mega servers are better for finding groups.
Used judiciously, it really makes the forums better.

I don’t think the idea is to destroy pvp servers because we don’t want them, I think it was more a matter of going with the flow, I’m from the Benediction server and I talk to people who were from the server and several from Faerlina, I realized that the most likely cause was a wave of Floxos and a lot of FEAR on the part of the horde, seeing also from the graphs of the server population sites, at the moments when many servers started to die, the alliance and the horde players started looking for a server with a good base, just when there was a small wave of alliance migrations to Benedition, even though the horde had a good player base and a high chance of more hordes arriving on the server, for fear of not being able to go to the raid door or do other things in the server. being scared with the possible coming of more alliance to the server and uncertainty if more horde players would come, the horde ran and fled to the Faerlina server (this is based on words and comments from players and guilds that were Benedition and now are in Faerlina), with the realization that the horde being leaving the Benediction server would certainly nullify any possibility of more hoda arriving on the server, which caused this occupation of 99.5% of the alliance faction in Benediction and 99.5% of a Horde faction in Faerlina.

Fear and doomsaying were a HUGE part of what caused the servers to turn out as they did. There was this formula and it was the same on nearly every server. I could write it out and people on 20 servers could relate.
There are some people who love playing on one-sided super mega servers because that fits thier style. For me, I loved playing on my high pop 50H/50A Classic server FAR more. It was just way more fun and exciting. I loved that the server had common enemies on both sides and I loved that it had personality.
So yes it makes me sad to see the servers go this route. If I only played to do instanced content (PVE or PVE), raid, or make gold from GDKPs/playing the AH I guess I wouldn’t care, but because I want more and because I want a real server community I do care.
If they don’t like, exist a PVE servers…, if they don’t like, normaly they will create characters on PVE servers and not on PVP servers…
