Becoz Tourists opinion dont matter. Yeah, they a re customers. They suggest changes to something that’s been good for many years. They dont understand the implication of their suggestion becoz they havent PLAYED MUCH.
And people makes some fake drama and want Blizz to listen to them without estimating how it would impact other players. They feel so entitled that their feedback is better than Million players.
Those bugs are fixed. Somebody got the World First. It seems the game is working. I know you want perfection. It wont happen. All you need to think is this. WoW has survived for 20 years and it would continue. If you dont like WoW, then play a subpar MMO that you like. It’s your money paying subscription.
It is an absolute truth in business development. If a customer says something is wrong, something is wrong. Other customers may feel differently, so you weigh which ones you want to keep.
You should listen to what players enjoy, and do not enjoy. But you cannot take player requests at face value, in most cases, especially in RPG’s - the dreaded “Monty Haul Campaign” notion that has been around since the early 1970’s.
Timmy will, always, say he wants everything there is to have, right now, without having to do anything.
And then the game will be over.
Does Timmy want the game to be over? Probably not. Timmy just doesn’t realize the repercussions of what he’s saying.
Not retaining Timmy means lost revenue, so that’s a business decision, and in some cases the correct one in the long term.
Timmy still wasn’t wrong, something was wrong for him. But if many other people echo Timmy’s sentiment (which is what is happening here…) there’s likely something that needs assessed.
I have been working in retail for almost 30 years, customers are not always right. Who ever came up with that nonsense doesn’t have clue on what they are talking about.
Raiders were always a minority of players in any expansion that ever existed. They specifically said this when they added LFR. They specifically said they added this mode because they were spending so many resources on a mode that only a tiny minority of their playerbase ever saw.
10 man raiding popularity in Cata was also probably a big early indicator that there was demand for smaller size end-game content. They didn’t want to make raids smaller because they specifically told us that limited the options their raid designers had.
I think we’ll fundamentally disagree because for me it is more rewarding because you have to do something that is harder than before and that feels for me like an appropriate challenge. If I would be getting mythic track from the first boss of heroic it would feel the same as M+ in S3 or S4 of DF.
I also think the upgrade system does make gearing less rewarding but it was made as a compromise, at least from my perspective, to not nerf loot drops as them adding many content and way to get better gear since M+ was added to the game and DF with crafting has made gearing faster and faster.
I also prefer gearing without the upgrade system because upgrades system are generally more grindy and yes often convoluted. I think it is more simple when loot simply drops but for it to work they’d have to nerf a lot of sources of gear so it can feel good in the long term and it might feel at all levels like what happens with +9 +10 right now, that you are capped way more.
I don’t think so. TWW has already been made and implemented.
What you have is what there is til they add more.
The reason some of it may seem sparse is because they may be using the zones in TWW for Midnight, where they add more wq’s, more of the campaign, more side quests, maybe more delves/dg’s/raids/Idk about this last one but may be is the key phrase here.
Then when the trilogy moves to the World Soul Saga end part, they put in the rest. They might be adding another zone or two sometime from Midnight to the last part of the trilogy and then boom, it’s done.
But that’s from our perspective. I think they already have all of it made and it’ll be released as it goes.
Considering how buggy and unfinished the game was on launch I doubt we’ll see any major overhaul of gearing this expansion.
Maybe some bandaids could include things like:
bumping +8 up to gilded
bumping all M+ vault rewards up 1-2 levels across the board
increase valorstone cap so it’s not as annoying to actually engage with the upgrade system
adding quality limits to public orders so more people engage with crafted gear and the crests that crafted gear uses
They probably need to do something more to get people to engage with the upgrade system more and utilize their crests sooner but I’m not sure what else that could be that would be easy to add.
I thought from the prelaunch hype there would meaningful choices to make more nuanced builds. But nope. No different than all the other binary talents. Why even waste space on the screen calling them heroic? Could literally be one more row at the bottom with a single pick left/right option.
There are plenty of threads on these forums from people who ‘think’ something is wrong. 90% of the time they’re wrong.
Yeah that’s definitely a ‘you’ problem and not a problem with the game. Sorry, but I don’t notice any lag while playing the game unless my latency is higher than it normally is. When there’s a lot of players on screen at the same time, sure, I can get some frame drops and a bit of server lag, but sharding limits that considerably. The only times I experience that now are when I join a raid for a world boss or I’m in a very, very crowded space.
None of this is true.
Every world quest I’ve done with items that need to be looted are shared. I’ve even tested this by making sure that people who are fighting near a quest item get to loot it first, then I step in and loot it immediately afterwards, no need to wait for item respawning.
