- In what way is gdkp ruining any instance of WOW? I understand it leads to more RMT, but does that really hurt you?
it hurts anyone who would like farming to be viable, or consumes to not be unnecessarily inflated, and anyone who doesn’t want the game to generally end up a gdkp dominated hellscape like era/wrath.

they are straight quivering with fear that the ban might be coming for wrath/era/cata.
i think those versions are safe tbh though, its so entrenched there banning it would be a massive shock to the server populations/raiding structure. if youre gonna ban it you need to do it early like they are, before it gets really dug in.

No, the gold supply is not constant, like in any market it depends on demand… Pretty sure that’s what basic economics would say.

honestly if they did a ton of people would dump all their gold on tokens and the price would get screwed so i am VIRULENTLY against that because it is in my PERSONAL INTEREST.

Probably not actionable, in any real sense. If I know you somehow IRL and pay you $100 to run me through a raid and give me items, I’m not sure what Blizzard could do about it, even if they investigated & concluded it happened. Getting to that conclusion is probably a dubious prospect at best – laying people off doesn’t instill confidence that there’s a robust investigatory apparatus.

Plus, they are stealing people’s accounts to bot with, that is the worst part. Having the economy RIP is bad enough, but there are plenty of people not able to play their account at all so the Borg can make many and bad players can get spoon fed gear.
Imagine going through all that work just so you can swipe to “win” at a retro video game.
Just make a raid guild its way easier.
Im good enough to get people to pey me gold to run them through raids. Sorry you werent good enough to join the team and had to cry in the forums.
Have you heard of some of us work jobs that dont allow us to raid weekly with a guild. Have to PUG. Also a guild aint enough to keep raiding after im geared and have done it 10x.
WoW is not a Retro video game.
It may be 20 years old, but it certainly isn’t retro.
As for cheating in retro games, Check out the drama surrounding Billy Mitchell and his cheating career to be the king of Kong. Also there is a bunch of cheaters that have been caught over the years and disqualified from leaderboards in speedrunning and high scores of retro games.
luckily you will still be able to pug, you will just not be able to buy your bis or leech an RMT inflated payout in said pugs.
and nobody is sorry for you about it.

If I have the gear already why would I join a PuG? I understand runnin once you are geared with your guild, but what motivation does a person have once they are bis in a pug?
there is none meaning the failure rate of pugs is going to be higher then it was in phase 1 because all the bads that were leeching off carries willl now be in pugs and drag it down
When you did as much GDKP as I did, it’s very easy to be quite up-to-date with all of the major GDKP discord servers on your realm.
All of them post the post-run ledgers publicly, you can see exactly how much gold people spent and how much they paid out.
From this, it’s quite easy to detect people who are gold buying, as their expenditure does not even come close to their revenue.
The average GDKPer would collect some gold and spend that gold, it rotates around, they have limits, they would even sometimes borrow gold and pay it back.
I speak from a place of experience, unlike the majority of the others here mate.
