Someone made GDKP as a service

This service i’m looking at allows players to deposit $$ in the form of credits. Already 2,000+ people registered. I’ve reported it to blizzard.

Plot twist: Blizzard set it up to be a sting

They have a website, discord, and an addon.

Whales will always try to find a way to buy gear. Report them and hope Blizz actually bans people.

There’s no wow names i can find. It’s all anonymous. People will receive invites from a random account raid leader every raid.

So someone made d2jsp, but for WoW Classic GDKPs only? What a weird, but not entirely unexpected thing to do…

I’m pink parsing in snitching.

Oh so that’s where Ybarra ran off to.

That’s not GDKP. That’s cash external to the game. I really don’t care if people are paying organizers USD directly to people as long as it doesn’t interfere with the in-game gold supply. If you want to pay organizers cash directly and risk them just running off with your real money, be my guest.

Yeah less than 1% of players will be doing this and at that point its just goofy lol, gdkp is gone, there wont be any pug groups no matter how hard they try to convince you there will be

In this shocking news, we find out that when you ban a TOS friendly player driven activity in game, some of the people who previously took part in that activity decide to move to underground methods to continue doing that thing.

It’s you who doesn’t understand how it works.

There is always a demand for buying gold, but it is significantly higher with GDKP.

And yes, they are magically generating the gold. They are botting raw gold farms mostly.

No they won’t. Because typical raiding doesn’t require nearly as much gold as GDKP does.

It costs me 5g a week for 2 characters to raid in SoD. 5g is less than most min bids for any piece of gear in a SoD gdkp.

The only real problem is they didn’t start SoD with the ban. So in this case, yes it will hurt the economy because you already have gdkp moguls who will now dump their gold driving markets up.

We shall see.

The same amount of gold will always enter the economy and that is why the basic economics of this made no logical sense for banning GDKP. the gold is here and will always be here.

basic economics.

I’m really excited for the crying when folks start getting their CC info/Venmo/PayPal stolen.

It’s gonna be delicious.

That’s…

That’s…

I can’t even…

Wrong.

GDKP forces demand to increase. When demand increases prices increase until supply increases. Then wanting in on the increased prices, more bots start which increases supply.

If you slash demand you cause prices to drop due to oversupply. Then the supply has to scale back otherwise it runs over cost (botting is not free).

basic economics.

Doubt

Typical raiding does not require remotely as much gold as your average swiper bidding up items. Don’t be delusional.

Cope.

you dense MF that’s literally RMT

If they’re paying people directly without gold as a medium then bots have less demand for gold farming. I care about the in-game environment. If they take all their swiping external to the game then why should I care?

Direct RMT doesn’t affect the in-game economy, so it’s much less destructive than increased gold farming.

Someone having full gear doesn’t affect me. More bots to generate more gold for them to buy that full gear does.
