DF is exciting because Microsoft is going to take over and clean house.
DF is exciting because Microsoft is going to take over and clean house.
This is pretty much it for me. I’m looking forward to actual being able to play the game instead of feeling obligated into doing some chores that don’t appeal to me in the slightest.
I don’t really care what anyone says about Dragonflight. The removal of borrowed power systems already makes it better than the last two expansions combined.
ROFL, now that’s a good joke.
This is the least excited I’ve ever been for an expansion.
Well, DF will have already been in full swing for at least one full season before that happens. The best we can hope for is that the x-pack after DF is improved.
Op needs to stop playing wow and start becoming a politician with those skills. Imagine the progress they’d make blocking actual progress!
Honestly, the most hype reason i can come up with? its not Shadowlands.
I think even blizzard knows this, when one of your major selling points for an exp is a “UI and HUD overhaul.” You know you are scraping the bottom of the barrel for “content”
Personally, i think blizzard is either pushing this out WAY to early, OR they are sabotaging and or torpedoing this on purpose so they can come back next EXP and go “See look we needed those endless grind systems to give you things to do.”
Playable dragons.
That’s the only reason required.
“Playable dragons.”
Let me correct that for you. Playable dragons that can only be 1 class and cant even see half the armor they wear because it literally does not show up on them.
So really, a half finished race locked to a half baked class.
Hmm M+ will only be harder for like what a week or 2?
Don’t care about Dracthyrs so not worried about points 2 & 5
Talent tree’s have a few wonky talents but I did like some of the combinations that you couldn’t get before like Feather and body and soul
I actually like group loot
I play GW2 so already used to the new style flying.
New professions, no having to craft legendries for every spec/alt I play. No conduit type stuff or having to go back and swap covenants.
The world invasion things look interesting.
New mounts and xmogs to collect, dungeons and raids to run. new quests and storylines will see how good the story is.
People say this for every expansion. Same motto, new year. Not really a compelling argument.
And as for people saying new zones/visuals. I guarantee you all will have 0 returns roughly 2 months in. Looking at an amazing painting or gallery loses its charm if you look at it even a few minutes near daily.
Nah, I’m good. Playable dragons are all I need.
I’m interested in playing with the new trees. Will do m+, though with how much of a hate-on they have for melee with thundering affix, I will prob main warlock
If the story is… decent and engaging (not holding my breath), then I may actually do the raids too.
Apart from that, I’m not hyped. They wore out that hype feeling a while ago.
Cautious optimism is what I have now, because in my eyes, this is their last chance to bring this game back after the atrocity that was Shadowlands
So I will see what they can muster this time
1. How do you know about the scaling? Have you tested it? I’m assuming a 20 in DFs1 will be about the difficulty of a SLs4 17 or 18. Not as hard as a 20 but not as easy as a 15.
I’ll give you that one, for now. I feel like they are playing it like an allied race. Once we establish ourselves as allies then I expect more classes added. Probably 10.05 or 10.1.
Just because the outspoken people don’t like it doesn’t mean nobody does. People can’t speak for others.
I really don’t see the downside here, its great for people with established guilds and friends they raid with. For people who pug, its just personal loot with extra steps. The rolling for items just happened in the background before. You won’t have DKs rolling for cloth items and such. No masterloot so a toxic GM can’t steal items, they might kick you if you roll need and win, but you still get the item. Should leave guilds like that anyway.
I haven’t tested it much, but I agree with you here. It’s a pretty boring dps class atm, I haven’t touched healing at all so IDK about that.
I really don’t think this will be as big as an issue that people are making it out to be. Day 1 flying and able to also max it out day 1 with no timegate is fine with me. Landing on small points could be an issue for some though.
They are recycling dungeons that haven’t either been M+ dungeons or active for years. What’s wrong with having them there so people can play them for the first time/with new rules? The DF dungeons are still there, just split in half for the M+ seasons. Would you rather have the same 8-10 dungeons for two+ years?
I see merits to both sides of the M+ pool argument but personally I am ok with how they are doing it for s1.
Call me a Blizz shill all you want, the forums are so insanely negative at times I wanted to add my 2 cents.
Being brought back to Azeroth.
there’s a simple answer if your not excited for it then don’t buy it i didn’t.
A DF S1 +20 will be as hard as a SL S4 +22-+23
I’ve never been hyped for an expansion. Optimistic, sure, but we don’t really know how it’ll be until it’s here. Just go in with an open mind, try some stuff out, see how much you like it.
Legion was positively received but I know that I dipped out for the first half because I just wasn’t having fun. Most people hate Shadowlands, but I’ve had a pretty good time.
I didn’t know about that post, I edited my comment. Thanks
I agree with that, like im interested to see the new zones and go through them, but i mean that can only keep me entertained for so long.
The real thing about DF is, lets look at the end game loop. What is it?
Raids - we expect this, we know this, this is fine, problem is ever since SL raiding has been pretty damn pointless to do as its one of the worst gearing paths in the game. So the only content that we continuously get fresh content from, meaning a new place to go and thing to kill and loot to get, is the worst option if you want gear.
M+ Which i know a lot of people are into, good for them, i cant keep doing the same dungeons all damn exp long for the same loot but with a higher number next to it. Rotating in old M+ i think is a good step in the right direction, BUT again, i dont find doing the same dungeons over and over to be compelling to me.
PVP - which IDK how this is gonna go because with how much of a circus SL pvp was, i dont have high hopes for DF PVP to be anything but.
So outside of those 3 big activites there really is no end game content, meaning once more, the things we were doing in SL, is gonna be the same things we do in DF, but with a different color paint on it.
With that said, hey, prof and talent trees look interesting, hopfully that can keep me going for a bit.
