Somebody has 10 gold minutes after server opened. How?

So I’m watching a few streams while I’m in queue, from the big streams like Asmo to the small ones with 5 viewers. I noticed something potentially really bad.

Shortly after the stream started, somebody traded a streamer 2 gold and it was shown in the trade window. This shouldn’t be possible. This was on Asmogold’s stream.

Then on a smaller streamer, somebody opened a trade window with 10 gold. The window itself is showing the gold amount which you cannot do unless you have that gold on your character.

Mobs drop a few copper. Having 2-10 gold at launch shouldn’t be possible.

Any ideas?

people can have a few toons parked at chest spawns in high level zones to vendor the green drops for gold, its not hard just takes a bit of time and effort getting there

I’m a hardcore multiboxer and I can tell you that this shouldn’t be possible, either.

For example, 5x Hunters all level 1 can definitely kill level 6-8 mobs pretty fast. So you could run there, kill mobs, etc. This is absolutely the most hardcore DPS and kill method at launch.

Yet doing so won’t give you 2-10 gold for a long, long time, not even remotely close.

Even with 40 guys farming every mob in Valley of Trials as soon as it spawns with 100% tap rate (not losing a single spawn, ever, to anyone outside of their group) 10g wouldn’t be possible.

I’m thinking there’s an exploit someone discovered in Beta that they kept under their hats.

You are 100% correct. Something is going on here…

ALSO: People have been showing /who in the area and you can clearly see the mixup is too random to be a multiboxer (as one myself).

Are you sure you cant just type whatever number you want in trade? Prove that someone actually has that much.

Yes you can ONLY put into a trade window the gold that is actually on your character.
