Most of the Masters, and elite, pet battles require some sort of team that counters the fight. Many of them don’t have a lot of leeway when it comes to substitutes.
If you don’t have a good counter-team then your best bet is you do it with lvl 1’s (When it’s a WQ the battle will scale to the highest level pet on the team you send in)
Don’t remember what I used, but he didn’t stall me long. Think I lost twice before figuring out a strategy. There are definite strategies that work though. Either look it up if lazy or try to figure it out. I feel like I used a black lamb in my combo, but I can’t really remember the first week of shadowlands.
This guy was a pain with level 25 pets, but he scales. I took out 3 level one pets that were good against undead and won.

I have that site bookmarked, it has amazing suggestions and different options for people like me who don’t have every pet out there.
Not impossible. I’ve defeated them all and even have all of the “Family” achievements associated with Shadowlands pet battles. It just takes specific teams that are stronger and can counter the abilities of the other teams.
Wowhead and Xu-Fu Pet battle guides are your friends.

Some are really difficult and may rely on good rng but they are not impossible. When I am having issues with a battle I use this.

i never failed, but since 2 expansions ago im using always pets lvl 1 or 2
if some of them are scaled to you’re pets use lvl 1s or 2 easy wins
That might be the fight where Chitterspine skitterlings are very useful. They have a black claw → multi hit combo. The multi hit is critter so hits undead harder and they’re aquatic so they take less damage from undead.

For Rotgut I use
Antoran Bile larva - the shield is important to negate the falling bones followed by plagued blood to stay alive long enough to absorb all the bones.

IIRC this one can fail from time to time, so there’s probably better teams out there.
