If you are so opposed to sharding what do you suggest they do about the initial rush? Do you support shared tags? Dynamic spawns?
because neither of those deal with getting people into the game.

Anyone who knows your posting history knows that your primary concern is trying to see that those who desire a truer classic experience do not get what they want.
If sharding causes many of those who desire a truer classic experience to leave Classic and that causes Classic to fail, so much the better in your eyes, right?
I don’t think the handful of people who will quit over sharding will determine the fate of classic.

Of course, you are counting on that. Then you would be able to say “See, Blizzard? I said they didn’t really want Classic. They all bailed and left. It looks like I was right all along.”

I think they’ll find far more people care about the actual world, and the dungeons and being able to play them again at 60. There are very few people who will quit because they occasionally see someone jump shards.

I think he not only knows how many will quit due to sharding, but is counting on them quitting, so he can rub their quitting in Blizzard’s face. After all, Blizzard is the reason he had egg all over his face after they announced that Classic would be made.
He has to intentionally downplay the number of people that will leave if sharding is used (especially beyond the, as yet undefined, “starting areas” and “the first few weeks”) in order to further his goal, though.
Nah, he just wants Classic to fail. He didn’t want it to begin with, he mocked those who did, and now that it’s getting made his bitterness is causing him to live on this forum trying to find ways to kill peoples’ enthusiasm and promote ways to kill the game.
