Some sort of mining node protection absolutely needs to be put in. The level of toxic node stealing is unbearable. Someone should not be able to start mining when you are in the process of mining and by clever timing and toggling auto loot on and off steal the node. I don’t care about getting their swing started first, whatever they were faster, but this mid mining swipe is stupid to be in the game.

There’s an easy way around this. If you know someone’s gonna try and steal it, shift click the node so you DONT loot what’s in it. Tell them you aren’t moving til they move along. Then literally sit there and wait them out. Nowadays most people have the attention span of a gnat.

Thanks for reminding me why I said no to gathering professions. Too many other ways to make gold in this game without these headaches.

When they come diving out of the sky like superman it isn’t always possible to have a clue it may be coming… its at a point though that you basically just have to do it cause it is definitely, probably coming. It is at a level of occurrence that is sickening.
What other ways to make gold? lol… Every other method has been botted into the ground!
This! I do it all the time. They get mad but eventually leave.
People are literally just being competitive with nodes because they want to make gold. People being better than you at mining isn’t being toxic. What’s wrong with you?

I agree its annoying when someone taps the node your already on or picks the herb your already picking…
But node protection? Sounds super lame… Do you need blizzard to tuck you in and read you a story too?

No, just someone who knows the difference between people farming nodes and people actually being toxic in-game. Too bad not everyone knows the difference.
I don’t know why this made me lol. I don’t really have an opinion on whether anything needs to change on this, but the thought of someone being “good” at mining made me laugh. Maybe being a faster clicker is noteworthy, but I don’t know if that makes you good at mining or good at clicking. Maybe just semantics…

When I say “better at mining”, I just mean people that are more knowledgeable about node locations have add-ons that give them info and things of that nature. Also any class abilities that increase speed will make you a better miner.
It doesn’t belong to you until it’s in your bags.

They should add a captcha to the node so normal players can actually get them from time to time.

we need skinning protection as well, it sucks when i pull a group of mobs to skin them and im skinning one then someone comes in on their flying mount/form and skins the other half of my pile.
Heck, even being able to hit shift mid swing when someone suicides out of the sky onto it would be acceptable… Literally anything at all…
It’s a test… A life test. This person may just be a farmer and doesn’t care about end game or community… But if it’s a reg player they could be blacklisting themselves with everyone playing this way. TBC isn’t retail… We have loads of communication in community about player behaviors…
That’s just part of the game, and i doubt it happens that often
