Classic isn’t for hard raiding it’s for hanging out with your 39 homies chatting on vent crushing natty lights while you demolish bosses with big world buff crits broken up with the occasional drama wipe
Yeah, I was just giving an example. I know the gear is crazy until close to end game. I know classic raiding isn’t hard at all.
The gear is good but it’s not like someone with the epic pvp gear is going to just body someone in the open world who’s wearing bwl gear with no effort. Most classes probably won’t be wearing the entire pvp set anyway, the weapons are really the only stunning outliers and they’re a reward from the pinnacle of the system.
You don’t see why being rank 14 for degens isn’t a problem? That’s strange. I disagree with your post. There would be sacrifices to make so that the good pvp gear can be obtainable but still a grind for everyone.
No I don’t see how small pieces of the game being unobtainable for a lot of people is a problem. The vast majority of classic wow is brain dead easy accessible, having a literal handful pieces of gear that only degenerate sweaties can get isn’t breaking anything. You can stroll into almost every raid with awful green gear and smoke it and get mountains of epics just as good. Some things shouldn’t be for everyone.
You aren’t looking at the pvp aspect of the game. You are only looking at the raiding part.
No I’m looking at every aspect of the game.
Right. Okay
Classic wow wasn’t designed where you would participate in one part of the game to the exclusion of all others. The best pvp gear in the game makes you marginally better than tier 2 raiding gear at pvp. We’re talking about a difference of like 600 health how is this game breaking? And that’s just clicking on what looks like good warrior gear from bwl I have no idea if it’s bis and if you wanted to make a pvp only gear comparison it’s probably even less of a gap because all the good off pieces come from raiding.
Then don’t play and stop crying on the fourms.
A lot of us want a pvp som or classic type game. You will still be able to afk in raids and collect your gear don’t worry.
I think what you’re worried about is that you will no longer be able to roll around the wow open world and 1 shot everybody that doesn’t like to afk said raids.
+16 hours a day for months to get gear in a game is a terrible system. Point blank. Idk why this is so hard to comprehend. It needs to change.
Not to mention it is physically unhealthy. It also creates account sharing and botting issues as VERY VERY little R14s are actually legit.
PVE people just want to be able to one shot everyone else that doesn’t pve out in the world. They don’t want equal gearing it has been this way since wow first came out.
Who cares if four marginal upgrade weapons in the game are gated behind some sweat lord system, it’s literally a non issue for the game.
The differences between just BWL raid gear and the best pvp and pve together isn’t that large, if you just pvp and don’t get any raid off pieces you’re stuck with junk blues for the most part and aren’t that great.
They should just eliminate rank decay, any extensive changes are a waste of developer time
Eliminating decay would be great, but even then I still feel like the degens will still make brackets insane. Don’t call them sweat lords. There is a difference between sweat lords and actual degenerates lol. They need to change something else besides that. Maybe a certain bracket cap? Idk. I feel like my idea is a decent one. It’s all about change, and what a stated is not game breaking at all.
If the weapons aren’t game breaking to pve, then why are we having a conversation about it? My whole issue I have from my experience is the yet again… the +16 hour a day grind everyday for months. Are you unemployed or don’t have a family and can’t see the issue here?
I don’t see an issue with certain items being unobtainable by the majority of the players when they have equivalent items that are basically as good. I hit rank 12 once and never will again and could not get higher, I will never see those items and not only am I fine with that I think it’s a good thing. It’s a non issue.
A great part of classic wow is that there is content for everyone. The game is very accessible and I think having a few very small things open only to degen gamers is a good thing.
But buddy, items in the game should be obtainable for everyone without sacrificing THAT much time and effort. I’m all for grinding. It’s one of the reasons I quit retail for vanilla/classic. I don’t think it should be easy by all means. I’m not saying my way is exactly the right way. The way the ranking system is in vanilla is just atrocious.
WHO CARES???
PVE doesn’t matter its great that you enjoy it but its so easy in Classic you can literally watch netflix and half AFK and still clear it all
You think a guy having a better weapon than you is going to change ANYTHING in pve??? You will still clear the raids the same.
The CLEAR ISSUE is that pve gear gets to a point where it wipes out the wow world for people who dont want to pve. AQ and it dies off because you pve kids wanna be able to run around and 1 tap everyone who DOES NOT WANT TO RAID…
Come on now
Instanced PvP does a fine job of that already.
You’ve repeated this in most of your posts. People seem to love to say this actually. It gets pretty old.
Blizzard is going to do what they do regardless of what anyone says here. I’ve provided my feedback on speculated Era PVP changes already, knowing that it doesn’t matter but I wanted to do so anyway. They are changing something to where you’ll maybe get your way. I’m mostly just not a fan of the currency system because I don’t think it’s improved the quality of BGs in the later versions of WoW (I think it’s better for people who are self-focused and gear obsessed both of which do not improve the environment of an MMO) and we already have 2 versions of WoW with currency so why do we need to make all of the versions of the game the same? Why can’t the people who want that so badly play those versions?
I do think there were problems with SoM(1) and PVP ranking coming out right away, and the rank bottlenecks and all of that. Like the no-lifing around Christmas on Barman because of “someones” push… but at least it was interesting imo. The drama to me is part of the fun. From what I’ve heard Era ranking didn’t (at least before that announcement) take that much time at all. So I’m not sure why that “no life” keeps being repeated by people who came to the forums from out of nowhere.
On the quote though, in Classic, I ranked my druid with the gen 1s but didn’t push as hard as them so it hit 14 weeks after. I had my full-time job and my family. I’ll admit to losing some sleep because of the job and commute but… I’ve been married for over 20 years. We have a son. We are there for each other so when I wanted to go on my crazy ranking grind in a video game that was only a few weeks in life, it was ok. As of right now, I haven’t been playing any video games much at all, and won’t for the rest of spring/the summer, and we have a lot of family plans. It’s really unfortunate that others aren’t lucky enough to be in truly supportive and loving relationships like this, to where you are there to support each other with crazy things that most of the world can’t understand.
