(SOLVED) Cannot queue for dungeons at 60

I made a previous post that got locked by Blue, claiming that I was incorrect in my understanding of how the dungeon system works.

I am creating a new post to hopefully inform Blue what is happening and why there needs to be a fix.

I have evidence to show there is actually a problem and that my previous explanation is exactly how how the system is supposed to work, and has always worked (and I also stated in my previous post).

It is a UI issue with people that have not completed the storyline and hit level 60 before Blizzard intended them to (primarily those that hit 60 in Ardenweald).

After completing the storyline, you are able to queue for the 4 leveling dungeons at level 60 on Normal difficulty and they do not have an ilevel requirement. Nothing currently informs the player of this.

This is how it looks like after finishing the storyline:

The problem this is causing is when you acquire the quest for Mists of Tirna Scithe in Ardenweald, and then hit 60 afterwards (while still having the quest), you are locked out of doing the dungeon and cannot do the quest.

This is confusing because historically you have always been able to do the “leveling” dungeons at 60 with no ilevel requirement, to help you gear up for the new dungeons unlocked at 60. I also explained this in the previous post.

1 of 2 things likely needs to happen to remedy the confusion:
-Allow players to queue for the 4 “leveling dungeons” once hitting 60 without completing the storyline
or
-Have the 4 “leveling” dungeons shown in the Specific Dungeons tab, locked, with a notification that states something like “Complete the storyline to unlock this dungeon at level 60.”

Either of those would remedy the issue of people getting locked out of doing a quest they received for Ardenweald’s dungeon and not understanding why.

I hope this was informative so that if other people make similar posts, Blue can inform them what is happening, why, and how to actually address the issue (and hopefully push for a UI fix of 1 of the 2 things I stated above).

OLD POST

  1. Not being able to practice a dungeon on Normal difficulty at 60 means we will have a much harder time doing it on Heroic

  2. It’s much more difficult to gear up for the new, unlocked Normal dungeons at 60 since we can’t get gear from the “leveling” dungeons that should be available and upscaled to 60

  3. It negatively impacts players trying to queue for dungeons while leveling because level 60 players cannot help fill roles in the queues

This is better off in dungeons/raids/scenarios where the proper teams can look at it the developers dont come here at all and its also considered a bad idea reopening a topic if its been locked in the CS forums.

I wanted to re-open it so that they would know what was actually happening so they could inform people of the correct answer, rather than simply saying “It has always been like this”.

Its also against the forum COC and the improper place for this solution.

You were told that it wasn’t correct because you aren’t being clear at all with what you are trying to say here. I’m still confused. The LFD system has always locked dungeons when you out level them, you have never been able to use the system to queue for a specific dungeon after you out level it. If you want to do those dungeons you have needed to form your own group and go to the dungeon entrance to do them. They are not part of the LFD system that queues you automatically and finds a group for you.

The normals are locked because you need to “attune” to them so to speak. There are quests you have to do to unlock them. As for heroics, they unlock when you hit 155 ilvl.

After completing the storyline you are able to queue for the 4 leveling dungeons, and they are upscaled to 60.

The confusion lies in there is no indication telling the player this. You get locked out of these dungeons at 60 if you hit 60 in Ardenweald.

There is also no indication telling the player that these dungeons become available again after completing the storyline.

How the dungeon finder looks when you hit 60 in Ardenweald (therefore locked out of Mists of Tirna Scithe at 60):

How the dungeon finder looks when you are 60 and finish the storyline (able to queue for Mists of Tirna Scithe [and others] at 60, with no ilevel requirement):

Well, if you are wanting to see a change, post on the Dungeons forums. The devs don’t come here for player feedback.
