SoloQ is fun, and needed in in BGs

Solo battlegrounds aren’t necessarily meant to be fair every game. Yes, some games you will have the spec advantage and others you won’t, but that’s the price to pay for queueing for a solo battleground over solo shuffle.

Random Bgs sure, but when you tie rating it’s a different story.

You can have the same problem in a premade. Sometimes, the other team’s comp is going to be better against your own comp. Less so since you have full control over which specs you have, but for some of us we will take the randomization if it means we can solo queue.

We’ll have to see what Blizz cooks up. Hopefully they take things like that into consideration.

Well it’s rated. If you want the best shot to win you would pick classes that are good…

It’s the same in every competitive game. You’re living in 2004. Games have advanced massively since then. Wow just started.

People that want good rating will queue as a very strong bg class and the people playing for fun should be doing normals. At high ratings specs will be balanced because the players will choose the best.

If it’s solo, you don’t pick your team.

Yes do it please! I enjoy bgs over arenas!

Lol
Yea i agree with you OP. IDK why these people keep making it seem like ranked solo Q BGS have to have a shuffle aspect to them. That aspect isn’t the only notion of fairness. Plenty of ranked games where you go in, win or lose and then move onto the next. This isn’t rocket science people lol.

I too am also excited for this to come; as down from WPvP, ranked BGs have been a love of mine since forever. I always hated how unpopular they seemed to be.

I would hope you’re as smart as everyone else who knows to Queue Pause when you get unfavorable teammates/enemies. Nothing new.

IKR lmao
When i read that comment i literally eye rolled and verbally stated “annnnddd” lol

Same.

As I said down from wpvp, i love Wow’s BGS.

Agreed. I don’t think we should have to miss out on playing with friends in pvp just because we want to dodge having to join a full pre-made. duo would be great but i would be fine with 2-3 joining together peridot. there can even be a separate queue for 5 man groups if it gets popular enough.

solo q in RBGs sounds like a very unfun time might as well q norm bgs. RBGs need more coordination and you aren’t gonna get it by throwing 10 ppl into a moshpit

^^ Pretty much that.

well if ya’ll don’t want to do it, you wouldn’t have too…

that doesn’t mean the rest of us should miss out on what we imagine could be a lot of fun.

I’ve seen surprising and great coordination in Randoms. I have faith there would be plenty of awesome plays in solo Q rated bgs.

i envy this level of optimism tbh

i’ve seen great coordination in random q’s but then it turned out they were 5-stacks lol

somewhat, started off strong wide eyed and optimistic about blizzards savior of an answer to Shadowlands

fast forward to present and there’s nothing of value for me, and many others, in the game that can justify undivided attention to this heap.

Doubt it.

If you never got much out of rated in the past, you wouldn’t get it now as a solo queuer.

You would still get stuck in the same place, get frustrated, and go back to randoms.

You can only speak for yourself.

Thankfully.

no, not at all, the fact that most people leave without ever touching the forums gives you a skewed perspective… public schools.

That has nothing to do with who can speak for. Which is just yourself.

uhhhh, small map, short respawn, capture ONE flag. best idea I have on the fly

Why does it have to shuffle? Because that’s the way solo shuffle works? You can have solo queue rated bgs without shuffling teams. There should be no need to shuffle - if everyone is on the same rating that should be a fair playing field. The team that plays better wins. Game over.

The better comps will climb to higher rating but there is no realistic way to prevent that natural process. Same thing happened to RBGs and RSS and basically every aspect of the game, because if wow is anything, it’s imbalanced. We just play along hoping the imbalance remains small enough that we can enjoy playing the game as the class we prefer

I can see some downsides. Splitting queues would almost certainly make time between games longer. It’s somewhat antisocial always queuing alone. I have a feeling many people would be ‘abrasive’ in games that go badly. Leavers that don’t care about consequences.

Why does rating matter? It’s just another thing you’re gating yourself behind and then coming to the forums to complain about

So just make an LFG, fill 1-3-6 and take the first class for each role you see, then you have yourself solo-queue.

Just to let you know, champ, that isn’t the case.

Just because you have a larger minority than another, doesn’t mean anybody making decisions think about you whilst doing so.

Unironically said by somebody who enjoys exactly that via solo shuffle
