Solo Shuffle Update - January 6

These are the changes needed. Now waiting until Tuesday to play SS!

Unfortunately, you will still be waiting to play for over 30 mins because they didn’t do anything to incentive the healers or make the queue times shorter. You may actually get to complete more games now but yeah you will still be waiting to play lol

Yes this is to fix the mmr loss oversight. But to have punishment be parsed out over 6 equal “tiers” still doesn’t seem like it’ll dissuade people.

I think they should put a mount for the legend achievement in solo shuffle. In my opinion, that would make the healers play a lot more senseless. t can be the same as gladiator or maybe a recolor or a different one. the point is to have more rewards to encourage healers to play solo shuffle.

I would really like to see more PVP balance among the different healing specs. Look at the representation between holy priests and resto druids for example. There is a massive performance and throughput gap between druid, evoker and the rest right now.

“abandoning matches repeatedly” without knowing full story that’s not good answer, and it’s on you guys for releasing it how it was. it’s you guys who made us keep mmr. people never got banned from other mmr type of games doing this. maybe you guys should do more research on that before blaming player base. imo… still thank you for making changes fast <3

I wouldn’t mind 1st time 15 min, 2nd time 30 min (in case dc again), 3rd time is a day, 4th time is a week, 5th time is a month.

also, I would love to see skirmish type of detect. if not enough healers around I wouldn’t mind 6 dps or 4 dps only. just sayian. lol

Can you please make sure leaving results in a much greater cr/mmr loss than actually staying and going 0-6? I feel like if it is comparable or equal players might still choose to leave rather than staying in and goin 0-6.

This as well.

You have to make rage quitters feel like they’ll lose more leaving at any point than having their time wasted playing it out. Aka you want to encourage these bad actors to purposely waste their time.

Excellent changes. I hear the argument about accidental DC’s but as others have mentioned, the mode is competitive, and if your connection is that bad, that’s part of the risk. Everyone wants a level playing field so, IMHO even disconnects should count, or they’ll soon be the new way to leave. I’d also be open to a progressively severe penalty if people continue leaving in a relatively short period of time (e.g. 24-48 hours) increasing the penalty to help curb bad behavior.

The amount of incomplete matches has a negative impact on the the queue times right now, in addition to the need for healers. Hopefully they can incentive healers similar to the dungeon queue now and add extra gold and PvP related items when too few are in the queue.

Solo Shuffle is a lot of fun and I hope it continues to improve.

Don’t matter instead of leaving the solo shuffle the healer just imply does not heal and allows the other team to win

Then punish them for throwing.

Oh wow, their hps was X until they started losing. Then it changed to several deviations lower almost to non-participating levels.

Some good changes in there. Nothing tilts me more in the ENTIRE GAME than spending 50min in a queue, winning 5 matches and then having the butthurt 0:5 person just leave on the 6th round.

At least they all get points and rating for it, so it’s still better than making entire game null and void with a leaver.

If a healer goes 0:6 that means every DPS gets 3 wins and other healer 6 wins. So it’s basically a win for all the other players.

I’m a healer, i only play arena, you want me to queue more solo shuffle? give me either gold bags like you do with dungeons or honor tokens that i can transfer to my alts so they are full pvp gear the moment they hit 70 without the need of playing the atrociously unbalanced BGs you haven’t bothered to fix for the past 18 years. I don’t know why it takes you people half a year to come up with something that simple.

Healers shouldn’t lose 45+ rating when they’re doing 3x the healing as the other teams healers. It’s not our fault that some dps can’t burst (affi locks in particular) leading to dampening above 50%. Want a shorter que for damage, make it so healers don’t take a full loss that a damage dealer takes considering its up to the damage dealers to kill to score a win. Being held at the mercy of dps that can’t kill is literally not enjoyable. It’s the reason healers don’t want to heal this mess which then leads to long que times for damage dealers.

Can’t wait to lose rating because I played the first three rounds with the bad healer that got trained the entire match before leaving. The game should take into account whether you played and lost games with the leaver, otherwise people will just use this to target players to cause a rating loss
