Solo Shuffle Update - December 16

3v3 dps-only solo shuffle would need to be 10 rounds to play with all possible combinations of DPS players once, so there would probably be more leavers

Awesome, appreciate the update.

We’re actively discussing the best options to incentivize more healers to queue for Solo Shuffle and we’ll share more about that as we develop ways to address it.

There is not an incentive issue. No number of bonus strongboxes, honor, conq, transmog items, etc. gains, will change the issue with rating calculation, and more importantly, gains for healers.

I’ve played 2-3x more games as a healer than my Rival bracket UDK and sit 600 MMR lower, despite playing both roles equally well. Healers just don’t have the same impact on determining the round outcome as DPS do. As a result, going 3/3 is typical; I’ve ended so many matches at 3/6, gaining no rating, despite having 2 million more healing, more interrupts, more cc uptime, and more damage done than the opposing healer.

In cases where it is clearly one potato DPS getting rolled on, losing rounds for both healers, there is nothing to account for the fact that one of the healers kept his derpy cheeks alive longer than other did.

Healers need a different MMR system. Not inflated “incentives” to cope with a MMR that only DPS benefit from.

One reward I want, is that you don’t destroy my rating and let me continue to climb. As a healer I don’t mind being put in a match with 500 rating players if I was at 1400 cr, so long as you don’t destroy my rating. It makes me not want to play.

I also don’t want gold. I want more honor, equipment drops,recipes, and/or other pvp currencies.

Healing randoms is super painful.

Can we get an update on this? What are some of the ideas the team is entertaining? There are so many good recommendations on the forum. Hopefully you guys are taking some of those into account.

Need to up the % for gladiator mount/viscous saddle from 2% to at least 5% per win at 1000 rating.

The long que times plus the fact that you are playing 6 games per match makes 2% feel weak. You get three wins in rated 3v3 and you get what 6%? Win three games in solo shuffle and you get 2%? There shouldn’t be a penalty for choosing solo shuffle over finding a group for 3s. Either have it so each individual win in a solo match grants 1% for the mount. So if you have a really good 6 win match u get 6% a normal win u get 3% and for those losses you still make some progress for a win or two even if it isn’t much. Or just have a flat rate of let’s say 4-5% for winning a solo shuffle game. Idk anything about rating this is purely for the mounts.

As a healer main I would 100% que solo shuffle, all the issues included, if I could get gladiator mount from the mode.

No communication and just grinding games? Sign me up.

just add a solo 2v2 there problem solved

Just waited over 30 mins for a solo shuffle and had it end after 2 matches cause someone left. Logging off for the night frustrated.

Hello my biggest problem is i am trying to increase my solo shuffle rating i am winning a few matches, someone wants to save their rating and they leave the match and you guessed it my rating goes unchanged so now i wasted my time and everyone elses time and no one gets a rating increased because someone raged and left.

Remove the button that lets them leave the arena. If they want to alt f4, their toon can stand idle for the remaining matches.

Yeah. So we can stop queing sooner.

Make it so healers have double vers in solo shuffle. Monks. Shaman, and disc preists jsut get run over, making the game not fun.

On the off chance blizzard reads these, I just wanted to throw in my vote against some of the nonsense I’m reading:

  1. No, solo shuffle should not award a glad mount
  2. I don’t want to play with tanks. Ever.
  3. I don’t want to play 3 dps v 3 dps. Ever.
  4. Legend is a much better title than “soloist”. I’m not playing an instrument.

Penalize quitters with a nasty 12 hour ban from solo shuffles. Its completed doodoo for everyone else who’s trying to gain rating. Today I was robbed of 1800 because of quitters.

Game tends to reward bads and punishes the good players. Wouldn’t be such an issue if que time would get sorted by now

Any word or rumors as to when these effects will start to take place? I would really enjoy not waiting 30min+ to just go 3 and 6 and get nothing time and time again.

However, I wouldn’t mind getting nothing as much if I didn’t have the 30 minutes of misery prior.

It doesn’t matter how much you punish the quitter, even if you ban their account for a year, it still feels bad when you get zero compensation (500 honor is just sad) for the time and effort you have invested.

What about making 2v2 part of solo shuffle without the need for a healer? Then if there is a healer/tank make it 3v3? I just started to rank up on solo shuffle and 30 min ques with nothing, I’d rather play in twos solo shuffle then wait for a healer at this point.
