30mins in queue and nothing. First queue was over 20mins. I can’t think of a single modern game that isn’t dead has queue times this long.
At least add double dps rated solo if it’s not possible to make 3s a reasonable queue time.

This isn’t an issue exclusive to this time. This has been the case at all times of the day since the start of the expansion with occasional 5min queues (very rarely).
Regardless, name a non dead pvp game that has 30+ mins queues at any time of the day

WoW is known for raiding and arena. As far as MMO’s go, there isn’t a bigger PvP game.

Hoo boy, better find a new hobby then! I’ve heard people be saying the pvp in that titan of an mmo is DEAD, believe it or not.
all my qs today we’re <10min except one that was 45 idk why, 2 were insta pop even strangely enough
The queues are caused by the disparity between the availability of healers and the number of DPS. If you are playing a more popular DPS spec your queues will be longer as well.
Queueing as Arms over the last month my queues were generally in the 20 minute range. As soon as I started playing Devastation again they were probably 12 minutes on average, with many 0-5 minute queue pops.

Everyone knows it has nothing to do with that. It all has to do with the class you play. On season 2, my sun rogue and any other spec that was not FOTM, queue popped <5-10 min. With pally…. Atrocious.
If you’re playing a popular spec, good luck. They won’t have 3 paladin vs 3 paladin matches.
I don’t think wow’s “known” for arena. People who play wow know arena. People who don’t play wow probably imagine a variety of players killing other player activities.
Arena is super niche imo.
But, anyway, ESO has non existent queue times for pvp. Maybe play eso. No ranked arena though afaik.

Just chalking it up to a healer shortage. I know it’s the first day of the season, but that also means a ton of dps are queueing up, 2 roles to 1 healer.

Lol anything to agree with the long queue times huh. For a company that lied about “big changes” coming for soloq 11 months ago and still nothing, and that it takes them an average of 6-9 months to fix talents that blatantly don’t work and to leave the season 2 nature rupture breaking stealth all season, you’re gonna believe they went through the trouble to screw their queue algorithm up for queue times dependant on spec? How stupid can you be LOL

Yeah, I continue to be confused about this. In the first season I only played an underplayed DD spec and a healing spec, so I knew my queue experience wasn’t the norm, but this last season I played a variety of specs and 30+ minute queues were uncommon even with the popular ones. 20-25 seemed to be the common range for them.
Feels like people are getting frustrated with that one-off 40 minute queue that happens rarely and then doomposting as if it’s the norm.
nobody likes arena/shuffle we are all waiting for blitz. I hope the shuffle times get longer and longer

Oh wait no…… blizzard is at fault for this. No excuse correct. I’m just saying though, to add salt to the already infected wound, if you play fotm…. It’ll be even longer queues for those classes.
