solo que is an amazing idea but blizz will never implement it. It’s its own category and mmr, totally separate from ranked and can give different rewards

We been down this road with Stoopz and Savix etc promoting it like crazy we got told No. PvP will never be good with Sir Ion pvphater hazziokzatazz in charge.

i think segregating the two is kinda dumb

i think a solo q that feeds into live ladder though would be pretty cool and def 1000% beneficial for lower rated players that just wanna get into games without the insane demand for 2400 + achieves when they’re playing with and against 1600 players

it would probably even force create relationships that wouldn’t have happened if they were gated by achievement demands at low rating

I don’t think solo queue would be as well received as you might think. Unless they made it a completely separate bracket from actual 3s with its own rewards, there would be no incentive to solo queue when most people who are glad+ already have people to play with anyways.

And lets be honest, making rewards/a different bracket for an already small part of the game isn’t anywhere near the top of Blizzards to-do list. Just the way it is boys

i think peoples expectation of solo queue is kinda ridiculous

some people word their solo q requests in a way that makes it sound like they just want the game to force good players to ‘give them a chance’

solo q into the same ladder would be a really insane tool for lowering the barrier to entry for players between 0-2200 ~

solo q as an end game goal for anti social players to get ‘gladiator’ is stupid

Solo q is a great idea because it promotes a q up and play flexible style. It would be it’s own bracket with different rewards (no glad / mount etc) and would totally be for fun (or other specific rewards within solo q itself). I can’t think of any real downside other than potentially thinning out the 3s grouped bracket but near everyone will play grouped or both regardless.

I miss MoP because everyone was broken so no one was. Every class had a spec that could beat every other spec.
It was a great time to duel.

Holinka gave their reasoning why they won’t implement it back in May on a photo shopped picture Savix posted on Twitter. It looks like his tweet has since been deleted though so I can’t remember what was said exactly.

He did roast Savix in the process though which was hilarious, that’s the main thing I remember.

There shouldn’t be a MMR system with solo q because there shouldn’t be any rewards for it. At least no different than solo q bg’s

I don’t understand the point of an MMR system in a solo queue environment if you don’t get rewards from it. Just seems pointless when skirmishes exist. I could maybe see the argument for solo queue rated battlegrounds, in fact I would support blizzard making rbgs solo queue only, as it would probably make them active again.

Bottom line is blizzard isn’t going to add an entirely new bracket of arena into the game to please 15% of an already small portion of the playerbase. I’d much rather them bring back 5s and just let Gladiator be obtained from it than a solo queue 3s bracket.
