Solo Queue for RBG

I think that Solo Queue for RBG will be nice, more dinamic way to find people with your similar MMR, perfect for new players trust me <3

That would be nice for farming honor on alts for sure.

Low rated yolos are basically the same as random bgs when it comes to team comps, strategies and coordination anyway. Might as well let people que them solo.

I agree 100%. Except group players by ilvl, not CR, they do it for LFR and Heroics by requring a minimum ilvl. They should also be able to set a max ilvl. Maybe set a 10-20 ilvl per bracket.

Except today I can enter a Yolo as a 0 CR RBG player, but have attained 2400 CR in Arena and vaporize players with ilvl 249 gear. It needs to be done by ilvl, not CR.

Sure that’d be fine as well. Probably would make for more balanced games.

And that is all one can ask for, right? Except most, or should I say some, players don’t want fair. It would also kill the boost/WoW token economy. Since a lot of under geared players would not need to pay geared players to carry them to higher brackets. The path to higher ratings would be smoother.

Which is how you can be sure it will never be implemented.

Blizz is absolutely printing money with the token, I can’t imagine them doing anything to jeopardize that cash cow. Just think of it for a moment from a money-making perspective. One player buying tokens for a carry is worth something like 2-5x more than a years worth of a normal player’s sub fee, depending on how much the carry costs. And that’s just for one carry, when you consider there are folks who buy multiple types of carries every tier/season, it’s not hard to see the monumental amount of money they’re making off this system. Keeping those guys paying is their number one priority, and for good reason, from a business perspective it makes the most sense. It’s just a shame that it’s screwing over normal players who want to earn gear/rating by, ya know, actually playing the game.

Does that mean I could use a max level weapon with lower ilvl pieces in every other slot to get into the low ilvl brack and smash people too?

Depends, where would that put your ilvl?

Whatever ilvl it takes to get into the lowest bracket.

Players would just cease progression on purpose (almost sounds promoted) + sit with the required lower ilvl in bags and queue up. Similar to making a new unmerged account and sitting in the sub 30 honor level bracket with the knowledge of playing in the official 30+ bracket.
I am not a big fan of separation in any brackets, too ripe for abuse.

I really like this idea. I do believe there is an art to queing up with Pugs and doing well. You need to be able to improvise and adapt fast to some fairly crazy things. It is like playing chess on the clock versus no time at all. They are different, but both can be very fun. And yes, great for alts and new players.

Once the Solo Shuffle starts and they start seeing the numbers playing it, I am sure they will look to implementing Solo Queue elsewhere too.

I think solo queue deep six style would be enjoyable over a 3v3 death match style solo queue. To each their own. Making/finding an RBG group takes a lot of time, that could alternatively be used for matchmaking similar skilled players against each other

A horrible amount of time.

Also people always want you to run meta. I’ve queued RBGs as a Protection Paladin and people would have a panic attack that the tank wasn’t a Druid or a Demon Hunter. So I always need to go Ret Pally for RBGs. Solo Queue RBGs are perfect way to run that off meta alt you might have, but just enjoy playing. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

At the low, low cost of 9 other peoples’ enjoyment.

Yall people this is exactly why solo q stinks and will fail. Cuz you have the Symmetra one tricks who just feed

Of course you’re a tank player.

No, pressing horse then knocking a few people back once isn’t helping.

Bottom feeders will always find a way to circumvent a system meant to even the playing field because they cannot compete any other way.

It would make it so much easier for people trying to do PvP quests and get a ranking. Ugh please blizzard do something :sob:

I agree with your intent here. But if it was based on ilvl, like you said, it would be easily circumvented.

Maybe if it was based on your highest rank achieved that season. So, rivals would be match vs rivals, etc.
