SOLO PLAYER PENALTY -- Avg Gear Score Capped @ iLvl 198

is semi casual and progression not the same coin?
like i only consider hardcore (people already pushing mythic)

casual ( just doing random stuff w/e they want)

and semi hardcore ( progression aotc goal/ some mythic prog)

As always, the issue is difficulty.

Its impossible to make solo content as difficult as raiding without adapting it to every single spec on a personal level. There is no 1 size fit all.

Take Torghast for example. Seeing druids do 1 million or more DPS on floor bosses while I am doing much much less.

rolls eyes

No, you can’t get gear for content because most players can’t get in due to people who gatekeep iLevel or a rIO score. The only people that succeed are no lifers as evidenced by the type of players supporting this horrible loot system.

You seriously seem to have no clue how things work.

If you never do or intend to do any of the content that requires 200+ ilvl then why do you need 200+ ilvl?

I’m sitting at like 184 on my 2 60s and can easily do the content I enjoy at a pretty quick pace.

Would I like ilvl 200 gear? Sure but its not like the game is holding me back. I’m holding myself back.

Twisting Corridors is more about what crazy overpowered anima you can stack over your actual gear. With the right setup it’s not that bad. I know people that had the Maw mount within 24 hours of release from soloing it. The same cannot be said for the most difficult group content.

By your logic, if the sole measure of gear reward is based on difficulty, then pvp should be giving the highest gear available as it’s harder content than pve.

PVP is the best way to gear up right now.

Being harder than pve is questionable.

And you do?

You’re sitting here directly supporting the most tone deaf looting system since BfA, admitted to having a guild that carries you and sit on the forums talking about how loot is fair because you and you guildies got you slice of the cake.

All this elitism isn’t going to help you at all my friend, considering us casuals are the reason why this game even exists and right now we’re hurting the hardest.

This is the most room temperature argument i’ve ever read.

Maybe because I paid for this game and I deserve a shot at getting whatever loot I want without it being gated behind a rating or a group of elitist M+ heroes who only want you to play a certain way or run a certain comp.

Stop making excuses for poor loot and gear design.

Entirely subjective since the difficulty cannot be standardized. Even the best players can have off days and get beaten by someone that is far less skilled than they are.

Wait what?

I said my guild carried me?

You are drunk. Go home.

Nice deflection, you supported a terrible looting system which I called you out on and all you can do is comeback with some random minutia.

Just because this system benefits the top 1% doesn’t mean it helps the bottom 99%, not everyone can do +15s or hit 2.1k on a consistent basis, and the current system favors only the no lifers which is what the OP accurately pointed out.

I literally responded to exactly what you said.

I am calling you out on being a liar. If you don’t want to be called out on being a liar, try not lying about other people in an effort to discredit them.

Except it does not.

I raid 2 nights a week, 3 hours a night. 6 hours total a week. That is not “no lifer” status.

it’s a choice not a penalty ugh

You call my argument poor but throw the “I pay a sub!!1!” Argument at me?

This is how it works in every mmo for the most part. If you are looking for the best gear you need to do the higher tier group content. You arent being locked from anything.

You can see every dungeon with group finder.
You can see the raid with group finder.
You can see the story solo

The only thing your “locked out on” is your gear being a different color and having higher numbers on them. That’s it.

Whoah, whoah, whoah, Tupac is back? And not singing the holy praises of Ion and the dev team this time?

gets out popcorn

This will be amusing.

Yes because you’re not the example of a no lifer I gave, you’re just applying that title onto yourself to start a fake argument that no one is having.

And i’m calling you on not knowing what you’re talking about.

There are more solo players in this game due to CRZ and lack of server identity, the guilds that are solid and stick around are far and few so you’re saying a majority of the playerbase should be left out of content they paid for because you, your guild and anyone else doing gated content getting gear makes it ok?

This system is backwards and it’s already showing how damaging it is to the health of the game because a lot more people feel the opposite of you, that this system is not respecting anybody’s time besides the ones that no life it 24/7.

he forgot the MM in MMO. happens.

It’s not hard to form a yolo every week and cap to 1400 cr if your casual and don’t care about rating . 1400 is so easy for rbgs I don’t understand your complaining . I’m super casual and managed to get to 205 ilvl. Most the time I’m solo player as well .
