Solo delves need to be balanced

To be fair, that’s only because delves are kinda like dungeons in that they don’t really scale to group size. What scaling they do have seems to depend on your role and only if you’re solo. So even just bringing one other person means you now have two bodies fighting against the same mobs as if you were alone.

That said, Blizz is probably going to hotfix delves to scale to group size either today or tomorrow.

I admit it was tuned a bit hard when I went in a spider +8 solo on my assassination rogue at 582, but you have more than just 1 interrupt.

Specced correctly garrote silences 3 mobs per application from stealth and for 6 seconds afterwards. Blind is aoe, kick, kidney shot and cheap shot. Vanish resets ability to garrote silence. Cloak can help fill in the gap to immunity any casts. Sap a mob before pull.

Group delves are a joke (and one of which the players struggling solo should take advantage of before they get adjusted) compared to solo, especially in small groups.

So kind of pointless to comment on whether solo delves are tuned appropriately (I think they are with a few rough spots that may need adjusting) while running them in a group.

Scaling is absolutely broken for solo lol as soon as you add another player it becomes a meme. My BDK went from getting smacked for over a million per auto on T8 solo with Boneshield, Icebound, and Lichborne up to taking almost no damage at all with somebody else in the group. It’s a total joke.

I can’t agree with that, it was way easier soloing an 8 on my Ret than on my Prot simply because of the scaling they have for tanks. When a normal cast or a “tank buster(the uninterruptable physical attacks)” goes off, that’s usually half or more of my HP with defensives on, except I don’t have the damage to kill them faster like Ret, so it becomes a DPS race of killing things before I die, except it’s at a turtle’s pace.

As a fellow DK who will swap to any spec in a heartbeat, i disagree.

I love all three DK specs and can say with certainty, id rather play Delves in a DPS spec over Blood… and yes, i tried all three specs.

Normally, Blood is unkillable, but in solo play in a Delve, a Blood DK gets hit at like 3x the damage a DPS would.

Blizz made delve mobs hit any tank in solo play much harder.

The extra survivability isn’t really there, but the loss of DPS certainly is. Can you solo in Blood? You most certainly can… but ill solo it in Frost or UH much faster.

I have 0 issue with what people are doing with their game time. Check my post history I do not care what people are doing.

I , however, care about dumb Blizzard not doing this right. Delves were meant to be content for us, solo players. Now all those people who claimed they love M+ jump ship to easier content. I don’t blame the players, I blame Blizzard.

Delves should be solo content only if not, what is the point of M+ ?? They are basically the same thing.

Also, I have completed several Tier 8 solo but I know for a fact many people cannot do it as it is very difficult thus forcing players to form groups to do Delves as it is much easier than solo due to scaling.

Delves were advertised as solo content for the solo players but now it is the refuge for M+ players because it is easier content. If Delves were solo only, I guarantee you most of these people wouldn’t step foot into Delves or they would cry that it is too difficult.

i’m aware of that. i promise that standing on avoidable one-shot mechanics will still kill you, even after they fix the scaling.

So yeah just did a 6 with a group instead of solo and it was a freaking breeze. Solo delves are completely broken.

It doesn’t :rofl: I accidentally stood in a spore explosion grouped and it did like 70% instead of 100 like it would have solo.

well of the two of us i’m not the one that thinks dying to avoidable mechanics is a tuning issue but you do you :man_shrugging:

This is hilarious. Clearly not working as intended. Mob damage needs a 50% nerf in solo.

i didn’t get anything too exciting today on my lock, but upgrades are upgrades. managed to pick up 2 trinkets on my monk in m0, include sacbrood. so not a horrible day at all.

it’s also different scaling based on spec in the same delve on the same class- tanks are x3 scaling versus DPS SOLO

I meant I did 4 level 8s. Not a level 4.
