Very disappointing*, I got through a 7 at 572 Friday but 8 nuked me yesterday.
Or are bountifuls harder?
*Obviously I’m kidding, clearing an 8 at my ilevel would be ridiculous.
This is spot on. Also (I’m new to delves, etc) it seems there is a ton of variety between different delves.
I cruised through my first t6 delve without dying on bountiful, then went into a t6 Fungal fury (not bountiful) and struggled mightily on the final boss.
Cleared on my last life after changing talents/hero specs each time.
To be clear, not a complaint, I LOVE that they require this much effort, planning, and learning.

I have been struggling on feral but I have been tanking it and that doesn’t work great.
Depends on the Delve, as a Prot Pally you can own this content, it’s made for us.
I killed an 8 Spiral Weave with 574 I think, died once, so you’ll get it soon.

Hmm… what ilevel are you? 7 (Friday) - 8 (Saturday) was a big difference to me. Same delve, the candle one in dorn) but trash started wrecking me right before the last room.
Not that I know of.

I’m 582 now. It all depends on the Delves tbh.
Some are super easy, others like Waterworks, not so much.
Yeah, that’s why I was surprised, since it was the same one I did the 7 in with no trouble at all. Maybe I was just having an off night lol.

They are hot fixing Delves quite often and without warning, so things have been quite wonky for a few days now.
It’s likely not you, and just the hot fixes messing you about.

I haven’t had any issues this morning? They feel exactly how they felt to me last night.
And the tuning versus spec / general difficulty varies across delves.
I’ve already started making a list of ones I will prioritize on each class, and ones I will totally avoid.
Brann also seems to get reset and / or bug out at times - I’ve found resetting his role and curios will usually get him working again.
An NPC spell crit you? That actually sounds like a bug or my info is outdated. NPCs shouldn’t be able to crit with spells.
Even if not critting though, yeah those necromancers are pretty scary. I think I waited for PI to come off CD for each one, and needed Brann’s execute to do its heavy lifting too.
No they won’t. Tier 8 is where the rewards cap out. That’s not just because it’s early; it’s because that’s where Blizz said delves would cap out. Anything beyond that is just for challenge and potential prestige rewards, not power progression.
What I have especially come to absolutely hate is how pointless having my tanking minion out is becoming. Regardless, Elites and other mobs will specifically stop targeting him (even though he has full threat sometimes), and cast spells or abilities on me instead of the thing they have threat on. Looking at you Web Bolt
And don’t even get me started on how often he looses threat and I end up tanking them in the face anyways. Even though they supposedly “hotfixed” it.
Idk, I find it hard but fun. Was able to beat t8 solo and with a partner. There does seem to be some dmg thats crazy as Ill be doing ok then all of a sudden get chunked pretty hard. But I have defensives and able to get by.
Bosses can be pretty crazy but that’s kind of the fun.
I’ve played delves every day so I think I’ve seen every instance of their hotfixes and I am also only 588ish ilvl so a bit low for tier 8.

Except they said delves have increased NPC crit chance up to 300% so there is that.
I think they do that on purpose. Got to pull small and interrupt when you can.
Yeah, I think mobs in delves have that semi-random targeting behavior for spells that mobs in group content have. They don’t always cast at their threat target, to ensure that if playing in a group it’s not just the aggro target taking all the damage. It’s typical to see DPS and healers get hit with spells and debuffs in places like M+ and raids, and I figure that same AI mechanic is implemented in delves as well.

mythic players came through delves this week with gear from outside delves and got them emergency retuned by blizzard for all players.
this is the issue.
Delves were supposed to be their own endgame pillar, not requiring you to acquire gear from outside them to be able to do them.
If they drop down to T7 they won’t get as good rewards, and the overgeared players are all over the forums huffing about git gud and it’s EZ for me while being overgeared.
Blizzard rightfully didn’t expect delve-only players to be breezing through t8s this week, the progression isn’t there for the bulk of that base.
but they knee-jerked because of the non-delvers to make sure T8s were harder as a result. Those mid week changes with T9 lieutenants in T8s that they reversed course on are a clear indication of that.
imagine if a 580 ilvl delve player got to force mythic keys or raids to be retuned on those players.

Just to add, in all of the delves difficulty conversations going on here on the forums, I wish I could see the skill level (bell curve wise) and ilvl of the person making a comment. Think that would reduce some frustrations that occurs in these conversations.
