Hello friends,
I want to transition into being a healer as a main. What are some good healing classes that are not too hard to learn, and something that can be forgiving if a mistake is made. (Primarily will be doing 2’s and RBG’s)
Thanks

For 2s, probably pally monk h priest then a slight power gap for druids shamans and disc.
RBG’s I have no idea, I’d assume everyone just runs all MW’s like they did in legion
Monk. The only thing you have to do is just heal from far away and not die in hard swaps. Cocoon and vitality conduit make them very forgiving and their healing is insanely high with the hardest part being managing your mana.
only thing that sucks about mw is the fact that the destro pops all cds gets ur teammate to 10% so you cocoon and then proceed to get oneshotted because u already used port
Just line the bolt 4head
I recommend HPal or MW Monk. Both are pretty straightforward, have high ceilings, but most importantly they have a bunch of Oh Crap buttons to press that make them forgiving for newer healers.
HPAL FOR 2s literal monkey can be playing it and push hard
Monk is by far the easiest healer to pick up and do well with, even if you have little to no experience - especially in the current meta. Paladin is pretty straightforward and easy to understand/get into, being successful largely depends on cooldown management and positioning. I would suggest one of these two, but would put monk at the top of the list.
Triple mw is meta healing comp in rbg but hpalla is a viable option. Mw is also insane in 2s. Mw pretty ez atm so. And mw will likely always be in the meta for rbg, at least one (in legion s5 on you only ran one) the way it’s currently designed
Monk

rsham or hpal, probably rsham because youd get better at the game faster and its not hard at all either
right this instant MW or Hpal. MW have a history of being too good or never seen so if you are looking towards Shadowlands as well its hard to tell whats going to be strong. disc and rdruid have historically been pretty strong in 2s granted they arent in the best spot right now i think thats more of hpal and mw being so far ahead of the pack and less of those specs shortcomings
Hpal will be your best choice, very forging especially now since you stack ineffable truth corruption and basically have all your CDs up 99.9% of the game. Historically the easiest healer to play, but this is BFA so all healers are a joke to play, just some have positional skills or rotating cds correctly.
I play a resto druid and MW monk. The druid is more fun but by far the monk is stronger with raw heals
this sounds like a git gud situation
(that’s u now btw congrats)
2s Hpriest 100%. Most forgiving healing spec maybe in the last 6 years.
3s Hpal/MW, both very easy and do insane output.
Imo the healing of restosham is very straightforward, but its the totem management, purgings, kicks, elemental, hexes and other offensive-based utility that make it more difficult.
Mistweaver has the most straightforward healing, easy escapes, super-low cd ‘oh snap’ button: cocoon, even tho they recently nerfed crysalis its still very good and super easy to pick up.
Notice no one says Rdruid lol
yeah weird how class changes change the current attitude toward classes throughout a season. a couple months ago ppl would be saying “just sotf top som1 noob” but i mean i hope by now people actively try to purge it or save their kicks for it because a regular regrowth does like nothing
paladin - heres why:
you hardly have to manage your mana (just spam holy light)
you are innately tankier vs melee damage dealers than other healers (plate armor)
you have a CD to counteract like 6 all-in’s in a row - blessing of sacrifice is amazing for some of the more oppressive DPS specs atm
they are also good in pve (which is where you will be in order to be on par with other people in this awful expac )
