SoD was Not Asked For

This whole thread is scitzo.
There’s no way you believe this.

Also, who cares. This is such a weird post.

Actually if you look at the cumulative requests on the forums allof this has been asked for by the community.

What I see from your post is that you don’t agree with the community, but just want the changes you personally like.

Unfortunately this is not how it works and they give you the whole package, not just your own personal wishlist.

Ask a different person like myself what Classic+ would be and I would want Naxx / AQ loot brought down to MC / BWL Power factors, more intermediate PVE Raids and dungeons added and NO CHANGES TO CLASSES OR GAME PLAY STATE, just some new content / nerf some of the over tuned gear.

See, that’s the problem with Classic+, no one can agree one what that is.

“I didnt”

People clearly did. SoD is fun.

The classic+ crowd still doesn’t understand that SOD was always going to be the inevitable result. That’s what the current, retail-minded, incarnation of blizzard is capable of. That’s it. SOD is the best they can do. It’s not getting better.

And here I am just asking for the original, unnerfed, weather system. Can we not have blizzards anymore, Blizzard? Why is the weather system boinked when it comes to snow, dark nights, and heavy rain?

If there’s one thing blizzard hates above all else, it’s RPG immersion. So the answer is no.

Omg remember the original Alterac Valley? The people who originally made this game were so good it’s wild.

The only good Classic+ they can do is TBC. Asking for some class balance is alright, asking for like Dual Spec makes sense. Thinking Blizzard could do a good job with redoing zones/ making new zones for a 1-60 Classic is expecting too much from this company

Why did everyone quit if it’s so fun?

Yep. Everything in between is just hopes and dreams.

Classic+, or whatever the fk, is DOA

I can kind of understand your points… up until this, lmfao. You’re completely delusional.

The players, before SoD even dropped. A lot of players decided that this “test ground” was a test ground for transitioning into Classic+. There were still a good deal by the end of P2 feeling that way, but it definitely faded by the end of P2 for almost everyone. Don’t know why players think they’re the ones who decide this in the first place, when the devs haven’t outright said this, but :man_shrugging:

That said, those of us that played SoD for a significant time should definitely understand by now that SoD ≠ test ground for Classic+. It was extremely clear that SoD was being handled by effectively a tiny crew in a tight window that wouldn’t allow for development of an actual “Classic+”. They’d need more people, more time, and a bigger budget. Unless Classic explodes so much that the number of subs playing just that dwarf the MTX in retail or Cata Classic(i.e. will never happen), Classic+ is probably a pipe dream for good.

I quit mostly because ST wasnt my bag. I DO however wish i did MC and BWL… kinda regret missing that tbh.

IMO levels 30, 45, and 60 would have been better phases than 25/40/50/60

Few understand this.

Nobody wants to believe that.

Sadly, I distrust blizzard to do the right thing.

Basically since WoD Blizzards track record on changes has basically been for every one thing they fixed they invented 5 new problems that are even worse than the thing they "fixed.

Fresh makes more than SoD because fresh has changes that have actually been requested.

If you recall, almost every single SoD server was full when it launched, and remained that way for the entire extent of phase 1. Phase 1 received amazing reviews from the playerbase and critics. It had changes, that worked.

Then, the dev team assigned to SoD, neglected SoD when they were forced to split time and attention between all Classic versions of the game. From this point on, none of the phases beyond phase 1 had the same level of care, detail, and attention. The devs got lazy and implemented bad game choices and class design. They were literally delaying or cutting content from SoD.

This is the thing they most want to escape and deflect from. It costs a lot of money, requires a lot of work, and takes a lot of time.

But it’s what the players most want out of some kind of Classic+.

Just like in retail, it’s much cheaper, quicker, and easier to mess with mechanics and slap a fresh coat of paint on repeatable content than it is to make something new.

I’m actually kinda sad me and my group missed out on the majority of SOD. It’s kept us together since TWW Mythic+ has been impossible!
