I had some characters in SoD, 2 of which were level 50 that I deleted when I stopped playing. I think one of them went missing around the time they started offering transfers from other realms to Crusader Strike.
If the character is completely unrecoverable, then so be it, but on the off chance that something happens with SoD characters beyond SoD, I would like to restore that character since it has mounts, and items which are unobtainable in other versions.
It is a level 50 Warrior on Crusader Strike, if that helps.
Yeah that is what I was just noting too. Either the article is mistaken and needs to be updated, or Classic does not have the 1 year deletion on max levels.
No the question is if an update could be provided about the difference between the 2 versions whether if it is intentional or an error as was noted from the discussion 9 days ago.
As another player on the EU forums made a reference about it here:
I decided to also bump up the most recent topic about it to get a clearer answer.
Really though, the Blues here very often do send questions over to the responsible teams and get answers. It can go at the speed of snail mail sometimes, but they do get answers to things and share those answers when they can. It is often a week or more later that there is an update on something. Not saying I know how this one will go, but to think they don’t pursue answers would be a mistake.
I do hope they find an answer and share it with us. I am one of the ones wanting to know.
Yeah, I’m sure everyone’s quite busy with the recent launch of MoP pre-patch, and everything else that’s going on, and this is far from a high prio…
It would be a nice-to-know. In my case, I’m more interested in whether I can recover the mounts, if something ever comes of SoD characters for other versions of the game, which who knows?
(I was also kind of hoping to have recovered the character in question to complete the content and unlock the 85 character boost in MoP, but that ship has long sailed by now)
