And now I know you’re just being a contrarian troll trying to start arguments cause several people have explained how flying based on riding skill levels and zone allowances would work.
It’s not though. There’s a mega thread on this where someone links a YouTube video of actual flying animations being in the game already.
When I logged in when lag was high the other day on a flying mount it showed me in a swim pose for a moment till my mount loaded in. I know we have flying animations, I just didn’t know at the time if us on an old world flying mount had the same background ‘swimming’ animation that other races have.
Yeah. I mean. I’m mostly ok with just a lowered cooldown. It sucks to not be able to get too high or have more forward and upward flaps but holy crap. If I can just have at least a 1-2 CD EVERYWHERE? This wouldn’t be such a massive disappointment.
But yeah, I’d love a flight form too. With a cast bar. You know. Whatever lol. Just not expecting blizzard to do anything except modify what already exists cause theyre typically lazy and obstinate af
Really, you compare Running Wild to Soar? Sure thing, how bout we just delete Soar and give you Running Wild.
Enjoy your ground mount
Non sequitur. Worthless discussion. Bye.
Obvious troll is obvious. Just flag and move on.
Yeah right, because Running Wild is fantastic example for a 1:1 Soar / old school flight🙄
/S if it wasn’t obvious…
The meme that Running Wild has anything to worry about is ridiculous, as is the concept of using it as an example in the Drakthyr argument.
Soar is a flavour racial, with no intention at all to have it running at a similar strength to Dragonriding.
A dragon riding a dragon looks silly. Lucky you have Visage to rectify that for you, as you make use of the Dragonriding, like everyone else.
That not what it should be. Thats now how it is when shamans turn into birds. How does it even make sense. It not anything extra if its useless.
You have reading comprehension problems or something? Clearly, you do. No one said to replace Soar with Running Wild. They want Soar AND also FLYING wild. That simple enough for you to get? That’s 2 separate skills. Further more, removing the cooldown from Soar still wouldn’t make it better or on par with dragon riding, since there is no vigor and it only has 2 of the skills. No time reversal, no barrel rolls, etc. Have you even played the class?
It’s pretty ridiculous there’s no time altering skills for my dracthyr during soar cause I’m pres and can literally rewind wounds in combat like dr strange and the damn apple. Or how bout when the guards during intro quest are saying “do a barrel roll!” But I can’t actually do a barrel roll lmfao.
Either way though, a CD reduction would still go a long way. Getting reeeeally tired of having to wait 4-3 minutes in older content I’m doin stuff in like wtf. Either that, or an actual old flying type spell to use during downtime would be phenomenal and I wouldn’t even care about the cooldown anymore. Different speed modes too.
Flying wild=slow mode. Able to fly up to where I need to go without “mounting” up.
Soar=able to fly faster but can’t stop, steady descent, and 3-4 minute cooldown.
Also, probably too much to ask already for the likes of blizzard, but I’d like flying to be instant cast like flight form cause it makes 0 sense I can’t catch myself in the air if I’m falling from a good height. Like that’s something my druid infinitely has over my dracthyr. Maybe a downside could be if you’re on the ground, you get a massive speed reduction, so blizzards precious balancing act skillz are preserved and doesn’t take the spotlight away from $150 murloc store mount and running wild. Idk. Just get tired of not feeling like an actual dragon.
No, they didn’t. Though it’s out on some pedestal like it’s some shining example of why they should get a 1:1 Soar or Flying Wild (good name for the argument btw!). Saying to replace is defining that Running Wild is a horrible example of why players think they should get 1:1 Soar or Flying Wild.
Players think they should get both Soar (even as it is), and Flying Wild is simply not going to happen.
Blizzard has their expansion defining mechanic behind Dragonriding, they’re not about to muddy the waters with other (non-Evoker) players in allowing their new race/class combination into access to 1:1 Soar, or even Flying Wild.
Wow, just wow…
Do you even play this game?
Can’t even… Shaman turning into birds?
Entitlement much?
With this specific chain of thought, consider my previous statements through the thread.
Yes, I do play Evoker.
Considering you think Shaman turn into birds, I think we’ve shown you have little knowledge of the game, we’re done.
This is where Blizzard made the mistake tbh. In marketing and in-game scenes, they showed examples of Evoker flying around where they could have easily covered this with simple lines of dialogue.
you kinda suck bro, just let the dragons fly.
