Ok lol, seriously? Down to 540%? With a 3-4 minute cooldown in Old World? Jeez, when I realized this, I was thinking no wonder I’m falling like a sack of rocks waaaaayy too quickly. Can barely get ANYWHERE now with soar, like. TF is the point of this spell?
Blizzard, can you please reduce or remove this god awful cooldown EVERYWHERE, or give me my speed back EVERYWHERE? Or, give me more charges or lowered CD of surge forward and skyward ascent, cause. Gotta be real honest with you here, I’m spending WAAAAYYY too much down time on the ground, or on mounts. Like, this really sucks. I feel like I should just go back to my druid so I can instantly turn into a moth wherever I damn well please in places I could be soaring in?
TLDR: Cooldown sucks for 540% speed and 2 charges of of surge and 1 charge of ascent. Reduce. Improve. This is a joke. I get that theres upgrades in dragon isles, extent of which I don’t know. But this is for sure a bad joke everywhere else. Not funny.
Why not though? We have wings, other dracthyr talk about flying places, and then actively do it in front of us. I get why Bliz wanted it more limited, but it just makes the whole ability fee bad, which is a shame cause it’s fun as hell.
Also, worgan get a ground mount racial that has speed based on your riding skill. Why can’t we have a flying mount that is our wings that follows our riding skill in the same manor? It would literally just be cosmetic animations but add to immersion.
Only problem would be that no-clip flying is a swiming animation, which may be a problem since that animation keeps the wings folded.
You love flying around with the new mechanics of Dragonriding? There’s nothing stopping you from using the very same Dragonriding that all other players have access to.
Soar is just a flavour racial that pales in comparison to Dragonriding…
I was specifically talking about normal no-clip flying mounts, so how would an ability that lets us use our own wings to fly like that be op?
As for Dragonriding, same question. Once given it in the quest and we get our first drake, how is it op if the ‘dragon’ we ride is our own wings, just as so many npc dracthyr, and the design of the dracthyr homes themselves, show that we do.
You mention soar as both dragonflght and mount, so I went with that. OP is wrong about another nerf, but the convo moved.
Soar is OK as is for psudo-dragonflight in non-dragonflight areas, but that doesn’t answer how it’s op to be able to use currently accessed ways to fly, either way, with an appearance of using our own wings.
Lol what? It would have the exact some effect it currently does. Don’t know if it affects soar as it stands, but that wouldn’t change. Using it with our own wings it would work exactly the same as if mounted on another dragon.
You keep using weird tangents and goal moving, I’m gonna go keep advocating for dracthyr to be their own mount.
