Blizzard you need to make some changes because right now there are a few basically necessary classes for this one boss yet all the other hard modes your group comp doesn’t matter nearly as much.

A rogue or spriest can do it, so you have way more options than MC for NAXX.

Are you implying that they do it with Cloak of Shadows? Because that’s not how they do it.
The guaranteed way Rogues do it is by speccing Subtlety with Cheat Death.
Aside from that, they can do it as either Assass or Combat but it’s much riskier. The Big Bang hits for about 95k. Feint takes that down to about 47.5k. Glyphed Cloak of Shadows reduces that yet again to about 28.5k. That’s in range for a Disc Priest PW:S, or for a Hand of Sac or something similar to keep the Rogue alive, assuming the Rogue goes in to the Big Bang topped.

I agree. They should probably give ret paladins something to help them soak the big bang.

I agree with you, it really doesn’t change the fight at all to just let paladin bubble or iceblock soak the big bang. Especially on 10 man where class balance is less guaranteed.

Literally can kill all hardmodes with many different combinations of raiders but algalon pigeonholes my group composition so much.

How does using dual spec fix it ? Ive killed the boss and I’m farming him weekly.
It’s super annoying to have necessary classes on a 10 man. It’s not “hard” it’s just annoying.
There’s a reason 10 man rasuvious has the mind control pillars.

A shaman elemental totem can soak big bang. Any spec of shaman can drop it too, Fire elemental can soak two and earth can soak the third depending on your kill time.

Im sure you never would´ve brought a shaman, Rogue (any spec), a Spriest, a feral if not for Algalon.
Especially the shaman, nobody ever brings those into a 10 man raid.

The mechanic is dumb but it shouldnt be an issue in 25m. In 10m though, you’re screwed if you dont have the right specs
