(Was it more fun when it was an instant cast 42 yard nuke?)
now you can see how balance druid felt after 4 days of ph2 and we got a 75% (-35% base and 61% cause of a “bug”) nerf, and all you where happy, so no offence but i hope you get some karma!
all of phase 1 untouched, cry me a river.
Dunno, Melee hunters were squishy and that didn’t stop anyone from nerfing them. I say nerf shaman HP by like, 30%. And damage by 30% too.
Grounding totem is affected with Counterspell
You die
Enhancement cannot delete people from 40 yards. They need a nerf but terrible comparison.
My level 8 priest doing 132 damage with ONE spell is not “Scaling well” That’s overpowered and dumb.
I never said it wasn’t I said they scale far better than vanilla skills.
They need to scale “less” or Scale “FROM less.”
Shamans are turrets but I think people are being a little disingenuous with how these things work in real life
They’re really tanky, difficult to approach thanks to their various totems, can use grounding totem to virually guarantee their burst gets off so long as they don’t have a rogue on them or whatever, and extremely frustrating for classes and specs that rely on keeping buffs on them.
I don’t know if I think Shamans are overpowered but the number of Shamans in this threat denying their class has any strengths at all or any win conditions because they’re not ideal in a few circumstances is a little bit of an eyeroll.
There are situations right now where Shamans can just virtually checkmate you. I think WoW players on these forums tend to imagine scenarios that favor their arguments and completely dismiss situations where your class was just strong, and there isn’t a lot the opponent could have done to stop you. “Just LoS the Lava Burst,” “It can be interrupted,” “They go down when focused” are all things that are technically true, but ignore the ways that Shamans can prevent those things from happening in the first place, and also ignore what happens when those things aren’t available. For example, balance doesn’t have an interrupt at all, can’t match shaman burst unless we get extremely lucky, and rely almost entirely on temporary buffs that Shamans just purge away in like 3 globals. Granted sometimes a class just counters you, but this is an example of what I mean. The assortment of tools Shamans see as the counters to them just aren’t always like… there.
I don’t know if any class is as terrifying in a group PvP scenario as Shamans right now. The big BS fight at the start of AB is basically just a sea of totems and people getting one-shot with EM combos. heh
Granted, I also recognize that people tend to just like, not like when they die in WoW, and think every time they die to a class they don’t like it’s because something’s wrong with the game, when actually the other classes and specs in WOW are supposed to be able to kill us sometimes and that’s like, just the way it is.
Mages.
BGs are stacked to the rafters with them.
I think you would find on an alliance character that a lot of the would-be mages are shamans instead.
I think you would find that a 5-stack of mages would 5cap your BG in under 5 minutes.
Like it did earlier today.
a lot of people are OP
but shamans are now newly OP and we’re gonna talk about it
Eh, I’m not really interested in having a pissing contest here. Mages are the original hero class, they are and always have been the epitome of success in WoW, and they’re obviously a force multiplier for each other, which is why stacking mages is always strong. I’m not saying that’s good or balanced or whatever, but mages being OP doesn’t make Shamans not OP.
We’ve been this way since Feb 8, but go on…
you got insane buffs very recently, gaslighting sweetie
…
And none of them were to PvP shamans. (Except 2H, which nobody is complaining about because they’re a useless noobtrap)
You brought it up, I responded to the point once, and then realized it doesn’t actually matter. Shamans and Mages can both be OP. This isn’t a zero-sum issue.
also we already covered why nobody talked about it much before; shamans just weren’t very popular but the latest insane buffs have everybody playing them again
