Not if you really like the game.
You’re quite literally making things worse by doing so.
Perhaps we need to change strategies as alliance and promote WHY it’s a better faction for PVP oriented players?
I mean there is a high percentage of people who would much rather quit than reroll though
And that’s fine. They would have quit eventually. Not everyone is going to play forever. We are still way higher in subs than Blizz ever anticipated as it is.
Love it. Sure I’m a Human Lock and have to coordinate my deathwalk for optimal efficiency but it is the price to pay to exist on a PVP server.
Reroll to a choose when to fight carebear pve server? Never.
Whitemane btw.
I actually have an even fresher take, people who don’t like it should uninstall and unsub.
That’s just the thing though, people have quit over more trivial matters. A gripe that a significant portion of the playerbase takes issue with (and likely won’t ever be adequately addressed) is going to have a lasting impact when left alone.
And with how fickle the playerbase is nowadays, disgruntled players will likely just quit outright rather than “go to retail/PvE” like so many people here meme.
How much you like the game means little nowadays. People are going to play what’s fun to them, if classic isn’t fun then well…
Then eventually down the road they can merge servers. They had like triple the amount of subs that was anticipated. Opening with, what, like 6 servers? Up to 33 now?
I doubt merges will ever happen because #NoChanges. The playerbase will almost certainly raise hell over it.
Merges probably won’t even fix the issues anyway; it didn’t work with retail imo.
If we’re going by #nochanges, then Classic by definition already failed. Layers, far less servers, more player caps, etc… I see server merges down the road for sure. Too many smaller servers.
Retail has over 100 realms, ofc it didn’t fix it there.
Layering was intended as a temporary solution (to early server load) from the getgo. They definitely should have added more servers to begin with, but these were differences with hardware and expectations then and now, rather than design philosophy changes. Regardless they’ve been largely faithful to the source game outside of a few tweaks.
Server merging would be the ‘pandora box’ for the whole point of classic, really.
I do find this odd, the same people who are against transfers because it’ll kill servers are the same ones saying just reroll a PvE server.
It’s the same thing, you numbskulls.
Still changes regardless.
Transfers would kill servers that are fine though.
Depends on the location, and it isn’t a 1:1 exchange. Think of it like moving from Somalia to New York. Yes, you can exchange Somali Shillings for US Dollars. However, the exchange rate is $0.0017 for 1 Somali shilling.
I don’t understand the comparison because literally the only difference is the type of server. The amount of gold, gear, professions, spells, everything is exactly 1:1. I could even make the argument it’s harder to level on pvp server
Because we don’t care who you are and what you did on your PvP server. Start from the bottom like everyone else when you come crawling to a PvE realm because you couldn’t hack it in Griefer’s Paradise. It isn’t that the coins aren’t the same, it is that we value them, the work you did to get them, and all of that less because of where they came from. Like someone moving to middle class suburbs from a toxic waste dump.
People follow streamers to servers, Streamers talk trash and get wrecked daily. Streamers cry, complain and transfer. All alliance start to cry and complain and want to transfer.
I’m not understanding at all what you are saying. The work is the exact same. Leveling to 60 is leveling to 60. It doesn’t matter what realm you do it on. By your logic then all the transfers that have already taken place aren’t good either. If you don’t think transfers are good for this game then I understand your opinion, there are a lot of people who think that way
I don’t think they’re good for the game, or the communities on the servers these people would be going to. Let people deal with the consequences of their actions and reroll.
I don’t care about the PvP servers, or their communities. They chose to play in Griefer’s Paradise, so they deserve everything they’ve gotten there. They want to come to sane servers, they should start from the bottom, in that server’s economy, and work their way into the community.
