Dracthyr: connected to the emerald dream through the green dragonflight. But no playable druids.
They made TONS of druid forms in emerald dream patch of DF it won’t kill their budget to have more made for c lasses who lore-wise do or should have druid.
Either way making my mage one I think and maybe warrior.
Also no shaman?!?!?!
WTF? or monk?!?!? if they weren’t going to add any new animations or ability models for them why delay them past .0? These classes c ould’ve been added in 7.0 they already had all the animations for them.
I mean sure but they could just put in that work. It won’t break the bank, it won’t cost them a raid tier.
My best guess or copium hope is that eventually all races will get paladin/shaman/druid and we’ll just have to wait. But it’s still frustrating I feel like if it makes sense for a new race to have em they should put in the effort to get them. Then again they didn’t even give them monk even though blizzard made it explicit anyone can be a monk and monk is one of the basic classes. But they have almost no monk animations and they’re too lazy to add animations.
I mean I’m all for all class all race (with the potential except of dh/evoker).
It’s not too hard to justify druid. For both orc and draenei they’ve been allied to druidic races for decades. Both have shaman and thus in-tune-ment with nature.
Wildhammer dwarves supposedly have druids.
Pandaren are all about balance and the augest celestia are ancients and thus likely have a connection to the emerald dream like all other ancients and could be the inspo for their forms.
Blood elves are descended from night elves and early high elf/blood elf lore and even some lore in the starting zone suggests they have nature wielders.
But those races aren’t getting new classes atm. Dracthyr are.
Freysworn are a group of naturalists they have both druids and shamans. You can see both water spells and green nature spells and some are explicitly wearing leather not mail.
Indeed but they’ve had two years. Plus they made a bunch of universal druid forms in dragonflight.
I’m pretty sure there was talk in the past about expanding all classes to all races eventually (except demon hunter), even with a callout specifically mentioning gnome druids. I think it may have gotten walked back though?
But yeah, it would be nice, but would they put in the budget for the druid when they won’t put in the budget for Dracthyr transmogs/more barbershop armour options?
What’s the point of this statement? It’s effort from the dev team either way. How content is acquired doesn’t impact the devs team ability to produce it.
they dont hate druids, they hate extra work
Druids take much more development time, draw the concept of the forms, the lore, do the models, search for animations to recicle, etc, etc
