So who does Blizzard really listen too

And they’re morons in every industry

one game is World of warcraft. One is World of Warcraft Classic. 2 seperate games with seperate playerbases and servers. Runescape players dont run around and say they are OSRS players. Classic isnt a sideshow for retail.

And RDF would decrease those boosts sales, we can’t have that now can we.

are a dumb idea. Tauren already have size problems, and the smallest Ogre still towers over them, if we got playable ogres we’d be babies compared to the ones on Azeroth (let alone the ones we see in Outland/Draenor) and people would then be complaining even harder about them

We’re all apart of the World of Warcraft community, doesn’t matter if we play World of Warcraft Retail or World of Warcraft Classic.

Nope. they are 2 vastly different games.

I know. So far. It’s pretty wishful thinking on my part.

However, if Wrath has staying power and the involvement stays high like it did the first time, it would be easy for them to justify spending the $$$ on the resources.

I’m thinking about it as you would any business. I’m an executive myself. I understand what must happen for my wishful thinking to be realized but Wrath was good enough that I think there’s a chance. =)

I could get onboard with that. The reason I’d like to see them fork here, having played back through the originals like it was an addiction, is that the ‘release’ of wrath for almost the first year is where I feel they really nailed it. Balanced the game with just the right balance of frictions and conveniences, but kept them limited. Classes weren’t perfect but players still had agency over their talent experience, classes were still a bit diverse, the raids were really fun, etc. No question the class balance would continue to need tickling, but the mechanics are still in the game to do that. As retail progressed, they gutted all of that and really homogenized all the roles. I actually prefer when the game was less “fair” and classes had more unique identities.

So… yeah, it’s a fantasy, but wrath had the draw and staying power to bring in hordes of ‘non’-gamer types and really pumped up blizzards revenue. If it had that kind of draw again, I could see them giving this a deeper look?

Classic is a recreation of the game as it was back when it was current. It is the same game, on a different timeline. Please, try again.

It is a demonstrably different game at any given time you look at them. full of different people. Runscape players dont pretend to know what OSRS people wnat, nor call themselves OSRS players. this is the same.

I know you want to make a case why you should have your voice heard influencing a game you dont play, because youre entitled, but please

Oh, so just because I post on my main from retail, means I don’t play Classic.

I have every right to post about anything, just as much as you do. If this is all over about Dungeon Finder, this is not. If this is over Looking For Raid, this isn’t. Please, stop with this nonsense trolling that you are doing. If you don’t like this thread, mute it, and move on.

Did you play classic tbc? lets not beat around the bush

And i have every right to point out that if you dont play classic you arent in the playerbase. regardless of wether youre in retail or not.
You are no closer to being in the “playerbase” for classic wow, than an overwatch player is. So when youre speaking about how a portion of the playerbase feels or who theyre listening to, blizzard would be fools to listen to people who dont actively play the game in question.

Yeah, ok. Cool. Enjoy the ignore list then. If someone else voicing something does hurt you, then you’re also playing the wrong game and posting in the wrong forums.

And FYI, yes, I have played Vanilla and TBC Classic’s. Still the same game. If you don’t want it to be the same game, then you should request for Blizzard to remove World of Warcraft out of the title, and everything about World of Warcraft out of the game.

who do they listen to… streamers content creators other studios other games they take alittle of this and alittle of that and mix it all up… then when and if they listen to the real live players base those of whom have been playing the game since 2004-- then secretly implement some of the ideas 14 yers later…and state ***we have some brand new things ** umm yeah it took you long enough… they actaully stole talisend idea a while ago when he mention something specific that woudl be a nice addition to the game , they shoudl give him royalties for that they straight up copied and implemented it … they steal they lie they covere stuff up… yet we still play there game … all that mattersis the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ they make off us and we glady give it to them

this is projection.

Love how you never answered the question about playing tbcc tho, i knew immediately when i saw you attempting to conflate the playerbases

I’m going to have to disagree as well. They’re not the same games. If anything, retail is the “sequel” to the original game. It’s like saying Halo Infinite is the same game as Halo Combat Evolved.

I don’t think they even listen to the streamers that much. Honestly, as long as they get the money, don’t think they listen to anyone at all.

Not exactly what I am trying to get at as well. I know what you are trying to say, but what I am getting at is both are World of Warcraft, and both can be played with the same subscription, regardless. Yes, retail WoW is more “modernized” with bad implementations and bad systems in place, but World of Warcraft Classic is just World of Warcraft from the past expansions/base game. It is still basically the same game. That is what I am trying to get at.

It will last till icc has been farmed for a few months and that’s it.

Their budget team. That is all.

Shes trying to make this claim and conflate the playerbases because she feels entitled to an opinion on what Wrath should have in it more than an outsider’s perspective which is what her perspective is

This is why she didnt answer my very direct question about whether she played classic.
