So who does Blizzard really listen too

Since when is this about RDF though?

Those posts read like twitter marketing posts. Not at all relevant to the issue at hand.

When they do “address” the community, its a hit and run. And consistency isnt just frequency, its also in the messaging itself. They seem to entirely change their game design philosophy and direction every week, month, year, game. Theyll say “we listened to the feedback and were doing this” and do the exact opposite a week later. Theyve done this in the past 2 weeks alone in regards to fresh servers.

Arguing that Blizzard does communicate effectively or meaningfully is self-defeating. Even they admit they dont communicate adequately. They just dont do anything about it.

It is always about it.

Except, this is nothing in regards to RDF.

Everything is about RDF if youre brave enough…

this community:

people complain they aren’t being communicated with
complain that the communication is on the forums because “who would go on the forums”
complains that the communication is on twitter
complains that the communication is on the website
is in an email
ect ect ect

same community has a huge thread about why saying slurs in game shouldn’t lead to a ban

Exactly. And this is leading to an unhealthy game that is dying because they are chosing to ignore that feedback and instead, going there own direction.

Ah, yes, the woman who had a proven track record of nearly 20 years leading successful releases from her division, vs the relatively new hire co-lead who’s cool because he sells carry runs in retail. And she is the one with the unearned position.

Please go back to whatever “true” subreddit you crawled out from.

We have been asking for a lot of stuff for years. Like solo que arena. Blizz just keepa saying the same answer. It wouldnt be fair. Well they dont get that …we dont care. If it sucls we will abandon it. But they know best. Now they are going to come up with sime stupid solo que that swaps the samw players to somehow make it fair. Just solo que. Thats it. Let whatever happens happens. These idiots really have some of the biggest egos. Many times in the past thy have admitted that stuff that was succesful was never intended to be used the way the players used it. But then they get a big head like they are the brains that created it.

It’s amazing you got insulted for somebody else when nothing I said was insulting

So who does Blizzard really listen too [sic]

$$$

Retail: Give people what they want
Classic: Give people what they need

First, those two points dont connect. Second, who made the argument about communication being on forums being a bad thing? Or twitter? Or email?

You are not only strawmanning to the nth degree, but also arguing that Blizz communicates effectively.

They contradict their own one way communication and ignore feedback. And thats if and when they communicate which often they dont.

They entirely ghost two way communication even in the CC when things get uncomfortable.

Their takes also often read like theyre written by people who dont play the game: defending in BGs is not participating.
The friction of covenants and conduits is hated universally, but we think thats a good thing.
We dont like megaservers (not acknowledging why they exist in the first place.)
4 hour queues on fresh servers arent that bad.
You think you do but you dont.

The list goes on.

Classic is not dying yet. Listening to the community is why retail died.

having 0 damage done and 0 damage taken every BG isn’t really participating. I will agree the initial ban wave was likely too sensitive of a trigger

Blizzard has said several times they do not like to restrict where people can play (notice the uptick of complaints of locked servers and people being separated from their friends?)

they weren’t that bad and dropped off after 2 weeks, and they’ll return on the 26th and drop off after 2 weeks again

most of the threads here are basically proof of “you think you do but you don’t” as people run into all the same problems and have all the same complaints.

Arguably, retail is dying because Blizzard spends a disproportionate amount of time making content for the top 5 percent of players while the casual content has been dumpster tier braindead content.

If she felt that way she wouldn’t have taken the job in the first place. You think she just had a change of heart all of a sudden?

RDF was already “developed”. They had to develop a new thing to replace it.

You assume she knew about it when she was promoted.

Look at the pay difference they had, the minor role she had in the job as shared co leaders. It was nothing but a title to appease people.

I would of been furious as would anyone else.

this guy assumes any man is immediately qualified and any woman is hired because they’re a woman.

She has an impressive resume, she didn’t like how she was treated and said they had to work on some issues - they didn’t fix them she left. Blizzard thought they could get props for putting 1 woman in a leadership position, paid her less and had been sexually harassed at the company.

Why wouldn’t she look for a better job?
