so when dks were nerfed into the ground? that sucks. was hoping to have fun OP times with my DK but if its post DK nerfs then ugh… to my paladin I go.

why would they not start with final patch when they already did that twice in vanilla and tbc

certain classes were OP af. they probably wanted to nerf those classes. ret paladins were top dps for those 3 sweet months when they had TV.
more accurately, nerfed from godhood to demi-godhood. we’re still strong AF, just not absolutely unfairly broken

From the start of this entire venture. “We are using the latest patch as that is the most complete version of the game” This is the standard we live with. All 3 versions have done this. We will get this in any version after, if they do them.
naw end of wrath, when ruby sanctum or w.e the raid was, paladins got TV prepatch.
kinda like crusader strike prepatch TBC, and divine storm prepatch wrath.
so if they are going final patch, we should have TV? who knows.
Cata Pre-patch is Cata, not WotLK. Version 4.x

naw it was in wrath.
cata they removed armor pen. in wrath they cut it in half at the knees. you used to be able to get armor pen values that turned anyone not wearing plate into dudes wearing toilet paper for armor. get straight armor pen, skillbringers will, and skillmourne. no one would live if you were a warrior.
they nerfed DBW and increased diminishing returns on arpen iirc. its been 14 years but yeah. I seem to recall something like this. I do remember the DBW nerf though, my buddy was pissed. spent tons of gold buying it from a raiding guild after farming the gold up, so he could pvp, then they nerfed it hah. made him quit wow.

Templars verdict was added in patch 4.0.

4.0 is CATA prepatch.
Ruby Sanctum was added in 3.4 wrath of the lich king.
If you logged in during cata prepatch this is what you were greeted with…
Which means it was no longer wrath of the lich king.
You’re talking about The pre patch for cata. That will come in the weeks leading to cata.
Yes, at Wrath launch they did. They actually buffed it partway into wrath, then slightly nerfed it at the end.

You can still do this in 3.3.5a. We are getting this version. AKA, not Cata
You can easily get 100% ArP in Wrath
Ok yeah. Literally everything you are referring to is the cata pre patch. Anything and everything that was armor pen got changed to crit rating. And the classes were reworked.
Like clockwork, every classic launch, we need to explain that prepatch for the next expansion is not a part of the current expansion.
TBC prepatch is not Vanilla, Wrath prepatch is not TBC, and Cata prepatch is not Wrath.

Then where is RDF? If we had to start Vanilla with the stupid 1.12 AV, the least they could do is be consistent and give us RDF…
