It has more subscribers than WoW and has almost triple its searches on google trends. When you look at actual data rather than how you subjectively feel about each game, it starts to look like WoW is the trivial one out of the two. Its fine if the game you like more is the dying/worse one, but calling the more populated/alive one trivial is just blatantly incorrect lol.
This is probably going to blow your mind, but WoW dungeons also only have one difficulty, the only difference is numbers between Normal and Heroic, while Mythic adds a new mechanic to the fight usually. Dungeons are literally designed on Mythic difficulty, with things removed or lowered to justify another difficulty. This is why fights on Heroic feel not as they should because usually itâs a core mechanic removed from the fight.
To be fair, they did have âhardâ dungeons for a while but they scrapped them because people saw âhardâ and had anxiety attacks. Instead they just gradually upped the difficulty of dungeons that doing a modern dungeon is far more difficult than doing a hard dungeon back in ARR.
Same with WoW outside of Mythic. My AOTC Denathrius kill was mainly centric on a handful of DPS who could meet the dps check for Denathrius p1 being able to carry people that werenât able to hit it.
Also sorry to say, I was infinitely more interested, more engaged, and more challenged doing Eden Savage 9-12 and Oracle of Darkness than I ever was in WoW.
I mean, the fact WoW in 9.0 had 6 million active characters, to sporting 3 million active characters in 9.1 with steep declines in PvE, PvP, and M+ begs to differ.
Sorry, I still have months left of sub time from selling boosts to rats on this superior and mega hard game that couldnât clear 15s while I was stoned off my butt watching anime on my other screen because the dungeons certainly werenât enough to keep me focused or interested.
Youâve got it backwards. When the streamers started all saying the same thing, it was because their best buddy Ion called them up and presented this as an issue that needed to be dealt with, and offered a solution.
That does not matter, for I want the most difficult dungeon with Vanilla mechanics (KulâTiras Dungeon), if it lacks aesthetics or is some boring content already seen in previous patches.
WoW was already evolving with the success of Legion Dungeons, why I have to get excited about KulâTiras dungeos just because Iâm an alliance, and Iâm more of a fan of the trend of seeing a Witcher THREE than the beauty of the game zone? itâs really stupid to lose your roots instead of keeping them, and itâs worse when the game was already evolving with the previous expansion.
All good Legion and FFXIV were worthy rivals, until you see KulâTiras and everything is ruined.
And letâs not talk about Bastion and the Kirians, that was even worse.
They will come back. WoW is still number one. And I think that speaks volumes on the mmo market. Because I donât think WoW has been good for a long long time.
However I will welcome them all with open arms. But donât think for a second that I wonât press them about ff14 being a once in a generational experience.
If it was why come back?
They will come back.
They dislike us because they know that we know the truth.
Canât be down with everything you said here. But I like the part about calling out character roles In the lore. Even though the writers of the game are allowed âfree reignâ I would suppose.
And also about being rejected over appearances. Canât say I ever seen someone shame others for not being skimpy. But Iâve seen It over what race the people play. And thatâs just bitter and not cool.
Iâll leave the rest of the post for others to pick at.
Wow content creators are the artists, writers, and developers who make the game. Arguably, some RPers who run in game events might also be content creators because theyâre literally making stuff for people to do in game. By the same train of thought, people that make guilds/groups to engage players with in game activities are also content creators.
You are talking about streamers.
I donât generally support streamers. I wonât care what they do.
They didnât listen to them in the first place. Thatâs kind of why they got mad and all left around the same time. They got sick of hyping up the next patch and the next expansion just for it to fall flat and get mocked by their fans.
Their concerns were ignored and not heard. Problem is for Blizzard, people who donât regularly watch streamers yet share similar views also took this as a middle finger they werenât getting what they wanted.
If you want to talk about ego maniacs, you should really be pointing that at the developers who canât climb off their high horses for 10 seconds and engage the public about how they should move the game because the p(l)ayers are too stupid to understand the nuances of game design. In fact, you really see it there. Game going to hell and people complaining about things? The developers blame streamers, trolls, and their own players for why they screwed up.
Want to know what a developer said regarding Torghast being a massive thud? He said it was the fault of the BETA TESTERS ânot reporting enough on the bad elements of Torghast.â As someone who was testing Shadowlands extensively, this is a flat out lie. Torghast was changed from what it was supposed to be seemingly every damn week with a new design behind it. One week itâs about getting as far as you can because thatâs a great vault reward. The next itâs no longer got a time limit and instead about just doing a set of floors for a static reward, but Endless Torghast is for people who really want to meme around and have fun.
Then beta shuts down, they change Torghast AGAIN with ZERO testing. Endless Torghast gets cut for some reason despite being what made Torghast interesting.
Yeah no, this is the same crap they pulled in BFA when they said âthey werenât getting helpful feedback on the forumsâ because they fricken DELETED THE FORUMS instead of listening to testers pointing out very clear flaws in the game design that could have been rectified that they later decided to patch into the game like a currency for Azerite Gear pieces you wanted instead of it being solely RNG because they werenât receptive to the idea of just allowing Azerite gear to drop in m+.
It seems very possible to me that this Is the truth about the dev people. Considering the experience for regular players right now Is empty compared to even 8.3.
this idiot, And by the way it has more post than another LGBT SPAM THREAD
It is one of the few examples that are looking for Blizzard to be supposedly tolerant of the whole family at stake that we are all veterans, and most of the new generation is waiting for some new Battle Royale or the new skin of some LoL character.
And if not enough, Blizzard will seek to hide more things that it denies about the dark past that we saw in this month of its scandal.
It may be that an WoW NPC and an Overwatch character will be banned for some reference to the scandal, but that is the beginning of the end if Blizzard seeks to censor anything that does not affect reality or senseless offense that does not come within the network like the /spit emote.
And with the lack of Skimpys armors from the TBC and MoP, a World of WARCRAFT without a real content of faction war themes that does not come in BGâs and the cowardice of leaving a stronger side as it was from the War of Thorns or Plaguelands , while Final Fantasy gives you a lore at the bottom of the letters WITHOUT USING ANY CRISTHIE GOLDEN BOOK TO UNDERSTAND THE LORE AND EVERYTHING IS SEEN IN THE VIDEO GAME.
We will see that Blizzard does not rise again with a WoW success, and has finally found its WoWkiller that will undoubtedly be FFXIV but openly opens up to a ridiculous uncensored creativity.
Itâs not possible, itâs the reality of the situation. The developers of this game literally see themselves as doing no wrong. Every single thing thatâs gone wrong this expansion the developers have blamed on other people or some external factor.
Content Delivery too slow? Pandemic excuse, despite every single one of their competitors, and people in similar industries not competing getting back on track after a month or two and the bulk of lockdowns occurring during Shadowlands alpha and beta testing, not 9.1 development theoretically.
Torghast sucks because all depth was cut, and was made integral to your progression? The fault of the testers.
Clear problems with how the legendary system here is set up that it encourages people to drop groups in dungeon finder after the one boss that drops their memory? Well, we told them on the beta forums, they just chose not to read them and were blindsided that this could happen despite on beta numerous threads warning them of this exact thing happening left unchecked.
Upset that you pay 15 dollars a month for a game that openly admitted a few weeks ago has âzero development presently being done on the game as a result of the investigation?â Well, âyouâre part of the problem.â Not the developers that couldnât keep their hands to themselves and got them into this mess.
