My favorite thing about capitalism is that if an employer abuses their employees, I likely have many other companies chirping at my door for my business. You notice it at the grocery store, there’s like 100 different kinds of bread in capitalist countries and maybe 1 or 2 in state run ones.
Romances are not necessarily sexual, and I’ve seen no sex in the game. Not put there by blizzard anyway. I can’t think of a single quest where characters are having sex. If that’s what you read into it, it sounds like a you problem.

They exist in life, why wouldnt they exist in a game world?
I think the problem some might be having is the endless number of threads demanding more from blizzard in the matter…‘pushing’ it, if you will.
No one should be pushed into being LGBT…or straight…or a gun owner…or a taxi driver…or any thing else in life. Let people BE what they end up BEING.
If a character in game just makes sense to be LGBT, fine. What does it matter to me? Im just here to play the game.
Now, if Im forced to wear the LGBT flag on my mogs, now I have a problem…but that would be the same if it were the Chinese flag or even the US flag. I dont want anyone forcing anything on me where it isnt necessary to play the game.
There’s hardly enough romance overall to qualify it as a romance novel game. But again, the game is not created for just you. Plenty of players like the romance stories of any kind. Blizz has been putting them in since the start of the game, and I can’t imagine they plan to stop.

Another thing with free markets is if your employer is abusing his staff, its an easy walk to go work for his competitor.
Where the wife used to work for years is tanking so hard right now because…abusing staff and they leave…and charging 3 times what the prices should be.

I really think it has to do with the quality of the implementation. I’ll use BioWare as an example.
With ME: Andromeda, there was a side character that, upon meeting her, you pretty much immediately are told that she’s trans, and it doesn’t really feel all that natural. It’s like they made her a trans woman first and a character second.
Compare that to Dragon Age: Inquisition, where you have Krem. You learn that he’s a trans man after you have a few conversations with him and he’s told you more about himself. He feels more like an actual character and he’s pretty cool. They made him a character first and weaved him being trans into that character instead of slapping it on.
I couldn’t agree more. It doesn’t matter even in real life who you choose or don’t choose to be romantic or sexual with. Yet this isn’t just about that either it is a lot of things being an animal rights activist, gun for or against, pro or anti-criminal, the list is endless. It shouldn’t matter what someone stands for. Just be yourself and don’t force your agenda on other people.

Its been quite humorous watching some of the very people pushing some of the insanity a couple years back actually being eaten alive once someone dug up a 14 year old pic online of them doing something goofy that evidently didnt offend anyone until 2020, lol.
Bill Maher is one that slays me. I dont agree with him on a lot, but he has come out as a voice of reason on a few topics. Seems that some only wanted to take this all so far, but others decided to run full tilt with it instead, and its making a lot of people question whether they should have ever gotten involved with any of it.
Look, I’m going to let you in on some information. The trajectory of society, and as a result the direction of this game, is not going to change. It’s only going to get worse from some perspectives or better from the perspective of those who desire it.
You can make a thousand of these threads and it won’t change a thing.
The largest shareholders in ATVI are Vanguard, Berkshire, and Blackrock. Blizzard is beholden to them. These institutions require companies to meet certain requirements in order to receive their money. Those requirements are the reason these changes are being made. It has nothing to do with pandering, but more of a push for cultural and societal change that benefits those at the top of the financial system. While I know why they’re doing this, I won’t talk about it as it doesn’t directly correlate to just World of Warcraft. You can look in to it yourself if you are so inclined.
You have two options:
Only option 2 will get your point across if, and that’s a big if, others follow in high enough numbers. Which I personally highly doubt.
The WoW you knew and loved has changed for good. It is not coming back. You should accept that or do the only thing you can to combat it which is to stop playing and put your time and money elsewhere.
