Am I hyped for classic wow? Yes, but I am not hyped for it’s launch week because I know that no one will be able to do anything. Even the streamers are now complaining about not being able to do anything compared to there closed beta.
Sharding killed my hype after playing first hand in the beta. It’s kind of a bummer.
Eh, there’s only so long you can stay at maximum excitement for something you can’t properly play yet. There will likely be a bump up on the hype meter when we can all save 3 names and it make us feel that much closer to playing being a reality. Then 3 days before launch excitement will be over 9000% across the board.
People got to see actual classic game play in all it’s tediously slow glory. The rose colored glasses were removed.
Nah, people phasing in and out shard hoping in general chat etc,etc killed it for a few folks I know. Really kills the singular world feel from back then.
For me… 1.12 AV looks like it kinda sucks…
Hype is not dead but if you are going by Twitch numbers they are just more spread out now.
Also leveling is more interesting to watch then some guy sitting at lvl 40 twiddling his thumbs waiting for Blizzard to allow people to grind to lvl 60.
Also watching people grind from 30 to 40 grinding SM elites is not fun to watch.
Projecting your opinion on everyone?
Loads of people playing right now.
It does
20char
Actually playing it, and thinking, was it really this bad lol
So because you’re not hyped = everyone ever isn’t hyped? The news about it isn’t fresh, maybe you need to stick with an idea for longer than people are actively talking about it to feel good about something? Attention span seems a bit …short… if you think the hype is all dead because you wore it out for yourself.
Blizzard would have been way better off making WoW 2.0
Well before I resubbed I was really hyped for classic, watching twitch for 2 hours a day got me even more excited. But after I resubbed I actually found that BFA is really fun for leveling, I’m currently level 96. I’ll say I’m still kinda hyped for classic but I find BFA really fun, so I will probably play it more. I’ll probably make a POM Pyro mage in classic for PVP.
I’m hyped and all, but there are only so many times I care to have the same discussion. Tired of talking about streamers, #NoChanges, changes, private servers, and the same handful of what-if’s when Classic isn’t even up and running yet.
I don’t care about streamers. The only change I would like to see is a tabard and pet tab similar to the key ring (not all inclusive, but just a slot every 10 levels or something). As far as the other stuff… whatever happens happens
The hype hasn’t died down, but there’s a large number of us who aren’t interested in paying for a sub just to test the servers for 48 hours. We’re still excited for launch and willing to pay when the time comes. Even if they made a simple change like opening Beta and gating it behind a sub, you’d see far more subs and far more hype.
So it’s definitely not that ‘the hype is died.’
- Speaking on behalf of the larger number of people I’ve seen in discord channels, twitch chats, and everywhere else literally saying the same thing I just said.
Although I’m still hyped, the RP-PVP realm and AV 1.12 situation has got me substantially feeling down and alienated…
I don’t feel quite “alienated,” but one more realm wouldn’t hurt them. I just chalk it up to being one more thing devs have their head up their butts about.
time? same as every hype?
Fighting over mobs for 200 hours isn’t as fun as people remember.
Naw, it’d be hard to market a new sub based MMO these days. The only people willing to shell out up to $180 a year +cost of game + cost of xpacs are the people who are already deeply invested in the game.
