Itâs literally the middle of the work day. Not to mention only a fraction of the people interested in playing classic can participate in the stress test because it requires an active subscription. Anecdotally, NONE of the people I know that are going to play Classic have an active sub.

Iâm still just as hyped as when it was announced at Blizzcon. If anything Iâm more hyped not less hyped now that itâs a little over 2 months until itâs finally released.

Itâs 4:40PM here. Iâm not off for almost another hour and a half. When the test started, it was the middle of the work day for almost everyone. Whatâs your point?

They only shut them down because we were too spread out and not stressing the server. Also, stress test doesnât matter for hype. Launch is in 10 weeks. Iâm sure a lot of people are waiting for that.

the bluff of classic demand has been exposed. turns out only streamers and assmongold was promoting this as vocal minority. i was in elwynn there was like 1 dude there trying to partner to kill wolves. orc side had more but this is not gonna last.
Maybe they are taking too long to release in full
or maybe the rose tinted goggles are getting cloudy

Iâd hazard a guess a good portion of people probably activated their sub when beta was announced, didnât get selected for it, played first stress test, and then cancelled it. If that is true that would certainly cause them to take a hit on stress test pop. The time of the stress test is irrelevant. It started at the same time previously, granted on different days, and each time the server was completely packed.
I think many are just waiting for August and canât be bothered to resub for a 48 hour test. If the various streams are any indication the Beta servers are also noticing a dip in players being generally around as well, likely due to burnout or wanting to avoid burnout. I would agree they need to just expand the pool to inactive sub accounts and see how many would be willing to try.

Hop in to Beta Classic Server right now. SW and IF is like Ghost town. I want to play it but thereâs really nothing to do at level 40 cap.

the east coast has more than double the population of the west
