So what is the motive? To ruin tbc so retail survives?

I mean they are literally adding a retail style system into the greatest xpac of world of warcraft. Why change something that is already great.

Its not about that… idc if I end up with weps or not… its just a big part of the game they are making a change to that didn’t need a change. And people in the beta didnt have pvp weps when they were clearing it so easily.

Not really. They’re going for authentic but also not authentic to really screw with P1.

Kara gets bodied in the first week or two and you end up with weapons better than most Gladiator S1 weapons.

Meanwhile someone with a 2050 2v2, 3v3 OR 5v5 manages to cobble together enough arena points to buy a 2H or Bow/Xbow/Gun after FOUR WEEKS OF SAVING.

Get out of here with this clueless ignorance.

Ya, chess event is brutal without full epics.

Nah, they aren’t that smart.

Their motive is simply ignorance. They don’t understand the games audience. They think people like gear rating requirements in pvp. Even though it just pushes people out from playing the game, while encouraging boosting.

The reward for arena has never been the gear. It’s the title/mount. There is no upside to having gear rating requirements. It just means the pvp no lifers win, and the casual player who just wants to log on every weekend to do some arena and get some items is forced to quit or pay.

Why do people keep on comparing the changes to TBC Arenas to Retail? There has not been a rating requirement for Arena gear for years…

You know what expansion did have rating requirement for gear though? TBC did. And yes i know that that wasn’t added until Season 3. But this is more like TBC arenas then Retail arenas.

Seeing how retail pvp has done this the first season of shadowlands, it’d make sense ion would fear for a mass exodus by the struggling casuals to tbc.

I swear it’s only the undead rogues making these threads.

For you to upgrade your gear in retail is is gated by rating 1400(207)/1600(213)/1800(220)/2100(226)

The power creep between someone in ilvl 200 (default epic arena gear) and someone in 213 gear is insane.

It’s only a few item levels right? Yeah, doesn’t matter. My 220 ret pally can completely dumpster someone in 200 gear, doesn’t matter what they do when my Final Verdict HITS them for 20k (they sit around 30k hp)

The changes to TBC are completely garbage and will ruin the game for it’s intended audience.

I agree 100% with this. Just comparing it to retail is a little silly to me. I feel like people are just saying this because retail is bad but when you take a step back and look at it, the new arena system is not even close to the same.

Honestly this change seems much more appropriate than the boost.

…F*** the boost.

mate i think you mistook my obvious sarcasm for literal -shrug- be angry tho idc
