I’m sorry but you’re mistaken. They didn’t get your IP address from the WoW client. Thye would have to hack the server side client to do so, and that hasn’t happened. If someone could do that, they wouldn’t bother just ddos-ing one person.
You experienced an internet hiccup. They happen to everyone from time to time. The timing was merely coincidental.
Did you Skype these people? Or some other 3rd party program?
The only IP addresses you get from WoW are the address of the servers. You never directly connect with another player, so you never get their IP address.
I guess you’re right. No, I also don’t use Skype for that very reason, I have been remotely controlled and hacked because of it. Skype isn’t secure at all lmao.
